How do you have time to listen to 500 records in a year and still find time to give the decent ones more than a 'first impression' rating tho? I heard about 100/150 records this year, most of them I listened more then once and my top 25 I've had on repeat at least 5/10 times to fully appreciate them.

Depends on the rating, 3 or under I’ve probably only listened to in full once or twice. Everything above that probably at least three listens.

Some albums will have clocked up well over 20 listens (think Paddy Hanna is top with about forty listens) - scrobbles will be provided on my end of year lists for my own interest mainly. See if more listens always equates to a higher placing - or not

I'm betting on the apathy of sputnikmusic users to get one of my picks on the top 50. Cause that's the only damn way the Drink are gonna make it there
