As It Is 'Don't Cry'

2018-06-21 by Dalton DuBois | 42 Comments
UK Pop Punk act As It Is have released a new song titled "The Stigma (Boys Don't Cry)" with an accompanying music video from their upcoming album The Great Depression, which is said to focus on mental illness and the controversial societal views surrounding them.

This song focuses on the perception that men are only tough if they don't show emotion. The video and song can be streamed here via Fearless Records's YouTube channel.

I think they're about 15 years too late to the 00's Hot Topic emo scene

I mean, this album is literally the best thing this band has ever done. Their previous work was mediocre at best. I'm excited as hell for this album.

Didn't Good Charlotte write this song like 15 years ago?

it's okay, but Patty Walters (who is a chode) is trying way too hard to be Gerard Way. I'm gonna pass on this and just wait for the crazy eightyeight album to come out.

Finding the whole concept of this album to be really gimmicky and pandering. Who really buys into this shit.? Seriously, who actually thinks they're being genuine with this garbage? It's so manufactured. At least their first album didn't try (overly) to be anything more than basic fun pop punk.

Patty (the vocalist) has been pretty vocal about this stuff for a while, not really a gimmick.

For me, these two new songs are far and above their best songs written to date. This new album will easily be their best

Except it's not their own identity since they're ripping off every emo band from 2004

"I think they're about 15 years too late to the 00's Hot Topic emo scene" [3]"

What kind of argument is this? Who cares, as long as the music is good.

Do you think when Kendrick Lamar released TPABF he was thinking " Jazz was so 70s"
