I dig it
| |
Hurts me hard that they went in this direction. Neverbloom was their peak and Old Souls was really good but this is just weak
| |
They said their sound on the album isn't going to be like this song, and that they'll go onto heavier stuff like neverbloom in a future album. This isn't a bad song IMO but it makes me feel really weird about it because it's strangely upbeat
| |
I dig it [2]
| |
not feeling it, there's something really ineffective about this mellow direction although there's some good ideas and Sean's vocals sound . . . strange I guess, not sure really.
| |
Did you not like Ether either Game?
| |
Decent. Probably won't listen to it again until I hear the whole album. Not impressed.
| |
Their guitar work changed immensely man, not nearly as break down laden. Really great riffs actually. Something still feels very off putting about this however, they definitely mellowed at pretty fast but they play melodic metalcore more than most bands do off this.
| |
not bad but Ether was a lot better. still interested in how the album will turn out tho dig this style more than their old stuff.
| |
I expected more. Ether was a 9/10 track and this just isn't up to that same standard. This is definitely good but feels stylistically disjointed. It's almost like everyone is just kinda doing their own thing and smashing it all together. The sum of it's parts seems greater than the whole in this case.
| |
that was cool.
| |
"Did you not like Ether either Game?"
that one was better but no i wasnt a very big fan of it either.
| |
Not as good as Ether but I still like it quite a bit. Wish it had a really stand out section but it's pretty solid all the way through.
| |
New keyboardist is definitely a lot hotter. The last one was starting to get kind of chubby.
| |
How the hell is that the first thing you notice
| |
hard not to notice the new keyboardist tbf
| |
Guess I'm alone in this then lol
| |
yeah you are. please leave
| |
If it is the one they toured with then she is fit as f
| |
I am so excited to hear what the rest of this album will sound like. I am enjoying the direction, they're doing it right
| |
band is dope
| |
New keyboardist is fucking gorgeous
| |
Eh, the keyboardist left because she found a use for her degree and took a job. I found Old Souls and Lord of Woe to be my favorite. I felt that Neverbloom is just heavier metalcore that tried to be deathcore.
| |
Listened to a couple tracks from Neverbloom last night since it had been a while and the production sounded weak as fuck. I don't remember that at all, but I wasn't digging it.
| |
i fucks with this
| |
weak, neverbloom was their peak
| |
Blood Moon goes fucking hard
| |
Needs more shots of the keyboardist, get her front and center.
The song is pretty good, but I always seem to prefer the more straightforward to that sorta deathcore-y stuff.
| |
Eh I had more fun towards the end of the song but the new keyboardist doesn't have the same cadence that the old one had.
I guess I can give the video credit for making me want to watch The Witch again.
| |
This seems like it'd be a fantastic song as part of an album following another song but not the best choice of single.
Also: Booka's hot.
| |
Sounds like Ether pt.2. Not as good, but not bad. Old Souls and Neverbloom was two great albums. Hope they can blend this style with their death/symphonic from their debut.
| |
They said that this album was going to represent their own musical tastes, which to my understanding means... Not deathcore, or anything like that. Think this will very much be an experimental album from these guys, expecting a lot of different sounding songs, which is cool.
They also said that they may bring back the nastiness of the Neverbloom days on a future album. Just not this one.
I like that they're trying new shit, honestly. They're talented enough to pull a lot of stuff off.
| |
That's cool and all, but why play deathcore to begin with if it isn't playing to their tastes?
| |
Yea that is rather weird
| |
Over the years I have seen a lot of members of heavy bands admit that they don't actually listen to much heavy music themselves. Maybe they just like prefer to branch out on their own time since they play it and tour with bands that play it all the time.
| |
It's not terrible by any means, but definitely not what I was expecting to hear. First song was a little better.
