New Northlane Single

2017-01-18 by cloakanddagger | 35 Comments
Australian metalcore band Northlane have released a new single, 'Intuition'. It is currently a standalone single, but in a similar vein to their single 'Rot', it's likely that this song will feature in their upcoming fourth studio album which has currently not been announced.

This is apparently an unpopular opinion, but I think Marcus is far and away better than Adrian. The re-recorded version of Aspire w/ Marcus is easily better than the original

Marcus is way better than Adrian.
Song is gud.

After hearing Node and this I'm done buying these guys' records. The music post-Adrian hasn't been bad, just painfully forgettable. Rot was cool though.

They've gotten far too comfortable with this sound. Hoping to hear something that surprises me on the new album. I can enjoy this well enough, but everything they've written since Singularity has just been good, not great.

song was pretty lame, I quite enjoyed Node but this is a more boring version of what they were doing on that album and the vocalist's screams are even weaker here than on Node

I have a feeling the new record will be more of the same. I don't see any surprises coming; no substantial ones anyway.

It's good, not great, but good. It seems like the logical continuation of Node, which I really enjoyed. I'm expecting a solid 3.5 for this record.

Anyone who says Marcus is better than Adrian is out of their mind. Adrian had so much more passion in his voice, as well as better vocals overall.

Stop listening to this garbage band and check out Invent Animate instead.

Invent Animate probably wouldn't exist without this garbage band. I like both tho.

eh these guys were never gonna top singularity anyways.
marcus is an incredible vocalist but i feel he lacks the personality that adrian had, also the instrumentals have just gotten progressively more watered down since adrian left. hey at least we still have singularity and discoveries though right??

Didn't think I had to put "this garbage band" in quotes for my sarcasm to be obvious.

Seriously though, the atmospheric stuff is a good change of pace but we need more songs in the vein of stuff on Discoveries, which is something that seems doubtful that Marcus can pull off. His screams are pathetic, almost kills the songs where he uses them

Stuff with new singer is ok but I have a feeling that they're probably gonna be mediocre forever now. I almost don't even wanna try this.

Singularity was 100% their best.
I have never been a fan of their lyrics and this track is no different.
Chill guys tho, always have been.
