Auroch streaming Mute Books

2016-10-21 by lalchimiste | 7 Comments
Auroch is streaming their new record "Mute Books". Following in the tradition of Canadian death metal, Auroch's sound is hard to characterize and falls outside the usual tropes of the genre.

The album can be streamed via Noisey (featuring an interview with Sebastian Montesi) via Noisey :

yeah it's a cool read + jam. These guys (both Auroch and Mitochondrion) seem very commited to their music and it really translated in a live setting

Really surprised by the length of some of these tracks given their previous albums were known for having super-dense short songs. Not complaining at all, this is a fantastic album, one of the best death metal albums of the year, but it's an odd shift.

there are only two tracks noticeably longer than the others, though, and those are only ~7 mins each? Doesn't seem *that* odd.
