Hyped the most for the longer tracks, really interested in those. A couple break the 7 minutes.

Yeah, I though it was awesome! very DEK/NITND sound with some some nice guitar melodies and tones. Drumming is tight, and the production sounds fantastic. Gonna be a good one.

Beautiful song, and the typewriting looks way cool and makes it feel more personal.

I prefer their rougher sound, but beautiful nonetheless.

Not to familiar with the band. They have a huge discography, so where would be a good starting place?

Tough question tbh. They had some very gloomy DM early on in their career before they started finding their current sound (one album comes with vocals from Mikael Akerfeldt) but I think since changing their style most would agree that they keep getting better and better over the last five or six and perfecting their sound. I would probably start with Dead End Kings and if you like it just keep working your way back. I probably like The Great Cold Distance the most overall I think.

nightisthenewday and dead end kings are pretty easy to get into and both rule so those are probably good starting points.

I find their early stuff boring as hell, they hadn't found their identity yet and were just ripping off other bands and it was all very by-the-numbers, but some people like it so you might want to check it.

A few albums in is where things start getting more interesting IMO.

Holy shit this was good. Chorus is a winner. Lyrics are definitely mids tbh, but it doesn't matter. Sounds amazing. Hyped for the album now.
