2016-03-29 by Rolling Girl | 19 Comments
Teen metal trio Unlocking the Truth have finally announced their debut album, Chaos, to be released on June 17th via Tunecore. The album is to be produced by Johnny K, who has worked with bands such as Megadeth, Disturbed, and 3 Doors Down.

Frontboy Malcolm Brickhouse stated: "We can't wait for everyone to hear our album. We've worked very hard to give the fans something they'll love and never forget. We hope they are able to relate to the songs the way that we do and have the time of their lives listening to them. We know that this album will blow you guys away."

Some of their music sounds really dated and boring. Still going to check it out.

Saw them at a music festival once. Just kids that learned how to play a few Metallica and Sabbath songs, with any of their originals sounding like cheap imitations of those two.

I mean good for them for apparently doing alright, but definitely not my thing.

Well hopefully in about 10-15 years they'll have mastered their craft but they're too young for their music to be taken seriously at a compositional level just yet. I don't think they're really ready to record an album.

"these kids played some raw sounding fairly simple metal in time square and got signed. i bet you if white kids played even better in time square no one would bat an eye.

i guess affirmative action exists in the music industry as well. "
