if you were a musician you'd realise that a year is a long time between writing.

you expect musicians to just take a break from what they love? i'm a musician and i feel the urge to make music every single day. time has no constraint on ability.

musician chiming in here

not everyone works in the same way. for some people it can take years (which is why i delay everything), but if you're in a band environment, with several people constantly firing ideas, it can be a lot quicker and more rapid without any dip in quality. some people are just naturally prolific. wish i was one of them!

Truth lies somewhere in the middle, if you ask me.

While I don't like bands disappearing for ages, I hate the overexposure.

By the way, the album is quite good.

"An album a year ain't gon' do any good to the quality control...."

dude each of their albums is like 2 songs each, you're not taking a big risk in quality if you just release 2 songs a year

Come on, this is drone n' doom we're talking about, If drone was diverse and "interesting", it wouldn't be drone.

I agree a year is a lot for a musician that's not constantly on tour, but releasing an album every two years (I think this is the best pace) gives you time to trim your ideas in order to keep the best of them. I don't mind these guys or any band releasing two albums per year if they're good.

Bong don't tour much, so they have more time to work on new stuff. Their albums are quite similar in approach and sound, I would like to see them branch out a bit. Nevertheless, this is better and more interesting than Stoner Rock. I'll have to listen to it while stoned to make the most of this experience haha.

"I only said that they'll never amount to anything special, and to date"

what's there to make "up to date" about drone-doom?

And let me remind you, each of their albums is only 2 songs long, that's not all that big of a deal

I've been working on a 4 song ep for 4 years now. Everyone is different.
