Man, I didn't really care for Youth but I'm interested in this.
Track's verses kind of have a Frodus vibe to me.

i liked these guys better when they did something besides rip off daisy

I kind of wonder if half of the people who are comparing Citizen to Brand New ever even listened to either band before or if they are just regurgitating stupid comparisons they saw on the internet...I'm assuming the latter.
Anyway, both new songs and Silo are great, this is shaping up to be a solid 4 at least.

Brand New will be the new band to rip off. You heard it here first.
Reblog for more desaturated pics of forests, tattooed couples laying in bed, and Vans.

Haven't heard it but if dude up there is casually throwing Frodus around, I guess I have to.

I don't care if this sounds like Brand New or any other band, the elements that make(made) me love Citizen arent here.
It's not bad, I just don't like it.

alright the comparisons of youth to daisy were dumb but this song sounds like a poor man's version of bed

Its decent. I'm inclined to agree that this effort does sound a little like Daisy and therein probably lies my main complaint. If you're going to try and pull off some lo-fi post-hardcore then please make it energetic/interesting. You can't rely on semi-inaudible, droning vocals and instrumental monotony--that's something citizen does too frequently here...

It sounds like a Daisy B-Side. Just have Jesse screaming in the chorus instead of the current vocals and boom. Even the weird octave pedal solo stuff with the guitars sounds like something they would do.
And yes Jason I have heard and like both bands. But it's pretty obvious what is going on here.

I think it's great. I like it more than the first song they released. Daisy's an amazing album too so I don't mind more of that tbh

Yeah it definitely sounds like Daisy and I love Daisy so I have no complaints. Feel like, as always, this record will be better as a whole. I don't care that they completely ditched the Youth sound because there wasn't much else to do with it.

not good

It's a shame really because I would like this if it weren't so blatantly a copy cat of a better album. If you're going to copy something, pick something where there's more room to outdo it. They're not gonna outdo Brand New

Pretty bad. Almost as disappointing as Seahaven last year.

saw these guys live once
not for me

These guys sound like Brand New.

Decent song, although I prefer how they sound on Youth.
