In all fairness, I enjoyed their first album, but what in the name of Thanatos is this malarkey? Sam Totman and Herman Li, guys?
| |
oh boy
| |
i fuck with it
| |
Out of every single Power Metal band you get musicians from...you get fucking Dragonforce's -_-. Either way Su-Metal is without a doubt the best thing about this band, and this made me slightly optimistic since the Dragonforce type flurry is good for one song on an album and they probably only have them for some songs. Song's a jam but then again I love my Power Metal cheese.
| |
this is still a thing?
| |
I actually want to see how they'll choreograph a dance to this song.. The intro just seems too hectic for them to do anything but have a seizure for 40 seconds. I like the band but it's never a great sign when what has me most curious is the dance routine..
| |
This basically sounds like Dragonforce with Japanese girls singing it.
| |
Yay

lol yea cos babymetal are so superior to dragonforce lmao
| |
YEESSSSS this is going to be the best thing eveeerrrrrr
| |
Never said they were (they're pretty much in the same enjoyment level for me, but they each have different major flaws), I just don't like how boring Dragonforce's style gets during full album listens and they could have got musicians by in my opinon better bands. Despite that I enjoyed this.
| |
For what it was, The Power Within ended up as surprisingly likeable for DF standards to me. On another note, I could really see Marty Friedman getting involved in a Babymetal track.
| |
@Angel: Wouldn't suprise me if he did, he worked with Momoiro Clover Z after all.
| |
Shite.

I am laughing so hard right now. Rofl wow

That actually wasn't what I expected at all. Basically power metal k pop.
| |
Chorus is actually pretty cool.
| |
Crazy shit
| |
Love it
| |
I never knew this band would grow to be what it is today. Congrats on your rise to fame, Babymetal.
| |
aren't all the girls in babymetal underage? jesus
| |
Ages are 17, 15 and 15.
| |
all younger than 90% of sputnik
| |
mentally older than 90% of sputnik
| |
BABYMETAL THREAD! ABORT!
| |
In ten years their videos will be shown in sociology 101 courses by some young hotshot professor to prove some bullshit point on cultural and social commentary.
| |
That actually wouldn't suprise me if that happened.
| |
The 17 year old one is actually older than me so I guess sixdegrees is confirmed.
| |
implying their videos aren't being watched in anime classes already

Chorus is actually pretty cool. [2]

Jenny Death when?
| |
Would just like to point out I called that Dragonforce would probably write a Babymetal song as soon as they played that new song at the Brixton Academy.
| |
Now we just need a song to be written by Jeff Walker and Bill Steer and my predictions will be complete.
| |
yeah you would
| |
Metal nerds love metal and underage asian girls. Whoever created this is a fucking genius.
| |
LOL
| |
Black hair and innocence, man.
| |
haha this band
so good
| |
Awful.

It's like t.A.T.u. all over again, minus the overt sexuality.
| |
It's Japanese, I'm sure they'll get round to it.
Might even throw in tentacles.

Full song btw

Yep, it's just like I said. It's a Dragonforce song, but with Japanese girls singing
| |
How fucking awful, haven't even heard it yet but that information in itself is awful
| |
Yeah, literally in the first minute you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
| |
This is gonna be an explosive tour de force. Artistry equitable to Michelangelo with pigtails.
| |
"The track featured guitars from Sam Totman and Herman Li of British power metal group DragonForce"
Oh really, because I wouldn't have guessed from those riffs and solos lol
| |
Honestly, Herman Li is way better than Tosin Abasi or John Petrucci.
| |
OH MY GOD YES
| |
Just watched it for the first time, that guitar mixed with that dancing is HILARIOUS I think I'm going to get a nose bleed from laughing so fucking hard
| |

Well now you ruined it.
