Website says it's mostly instrumental. That actually sounds really interesting. EDIT: The short audio clip sounds awesome
too.

Album art sucks badly, still I'm really looking forward to this.

Not sure whether to get standard or deluxe box. Thinking maybe standard. You can tell Storm didn't do the art, looks like a Dream Theater album.

Agreed. Totally DT-like album art

I'll check this out for sure but keeping a low expectation, as I feel like this is a way to help the guys pay off their mortgages and Mason's Ferrari collection

Wikipedia says it's being released on my birthday, November 7th, not November 10th.

It's just too bad that Waters isn't in it. Now The Waters fanboys can't imagine sucking his cock while listening to this.

I don't get why people are surprised and disappointed about the absence of Waters, he hasn't been on a Floyd album since
The Final Cut over thirty years ago.

Yup the album art really factors in on the music

Well, Waters cared more about the lyrics than the actual music in the Final Cut. Plus, I don't understand why so many people are bawling over his absence since he made it clear he was done with the band for good after said album.

Been interested in this since it's been announced. The Division Bell, while not their best album, is actually one of my favorites along with Wish You Were Here and Dark Side of the Moon so it will be interesting to see what the "left overs" will sound like.

Album art is ok to me. Simple bit of symbolism but it works fine. Pretty bizarre song titles though.

Album art is fantastic it looks like Dream Theater when Dream Theater weren't a joke
Also the song titles are pretty cool but a bit strange how they go into demo titles on Side 3
Also people complaining about Waters should get a reality check - the music on this album was written 20 years ago which means its a bit late for Waters to contribute in a songwriting manner, which basically means that even if miraculously they announced he was on this album it would only be him contributing bass and/or vocals neither of which he's good at. Waters was never special as a performer.

Does anyone know his status with Gilmour and the rest of Floyd? Are they on speaking terms or are tensions still high?

Him and Gilmour did play a charity show together a few years back so I'd say they're on speaking terms but obviously not reunion term

I've never heard so many fucking negative assholes before in my life than on this site. Nobody is ever happy with anything any band puts out. How is this album art terrible? Looks pretty damn amazing to me. Also, I'm glad Waters is not on the album. Gilmour destroys him.

Waters and Gilmour were both creative forces behind Floyd imo. Look at The Final Cut; Gilmour didn't write a single note on that, and it turned out like shit. A Momentary Lapse of Reason was the same thing but with Gilmour, yet he succeeded with The Division Bell later.

Evidently YOU need to look at it again static to be honest
and to say Waters was the only creative force behind the band is retarded
also the Final Cut rules
think I'm done here

it can be argued who had greater importance but in reality they put out by far the best work when they all worked together

david roger and rick all brought unique yet absolutely definable aspects to the peak floyd sound

when one of those three is removed it's obvious and is not the same

Actually I just have one more to point out
"You can tell Storm didn't do the art, looks like a Dream Theater album."
you guys do realise Storm designed DT's cover art, right?

Actually Storm only designed the covers of Falling Into Infinity, A Change of Seasons and Once in a Livetime for DT, the rest is Hugh Syme

and this has the final performances we'll ever hear of Rick Wright, surely that's at least worth some (positive) expectations?

Yeah I know storm did DT's art, but I'm just saying it reminds me way too much of a dramatic turn of events.

I liked the first teaser, not sure about the second one though. The chord progression is kind of cheesy
