Moz To Snub Hall Of Fame? 2007-04-21 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 9 Comments | Morrissey is still seething over a royalties dispute with Smiths drummer Mike Joyce, it seems.
It's widely expected that next year's wave of nominations for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will feature The Smiths, however a report in Britain's Daily Express seems to rule out any form of reunion or performance at the event.
An "insider" is quoted: "Morrissey has never forgiven Joyce and if the organisers think he's going to bury the hatchet and join him to accept the award then they better think again. The only way he could be persuaded to turn up would be if Joyce decides not to attend."
The Hall requires all bands considered for induction to have at least twenty-five years of recording experience: The Smiths' debut single 'Hand In Glove' was released in 1983, followed by debut album The Smiths in February '84.
