Joanna Newsom Preps New EP 2007-03-11 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 6 Comments | Songwriting harpist Joanna Newsom is set to release a new EP next month entitled Joanna Newsom and the Ys Street Band.
The title, which is clearly inspired by Butch Walker and the Let's-Go-Out-Tonites and certainly not by anyone from New Jersey, is a play on the singer's most recent long-player Ys (pronounced "Ease").
The three-song release is set to include the newly-penned 'Colleen' and re-workings of two released tracks: Ys' Cosmia and The Milk-Eyed Mender's 'Clam, Crab, Cockle, Cowrie.'
Drag City has Joanna Newsom and the Ys Street Band scheduled for release in the US on April 24.
