expecting shit
| |
expecting terrible music
| |
I'm not expecting much.
| |
guys im expecting!
| |
how do i expect
| |
what is an expects
| |
Ever since Zombie, the band seem to be on the right track so I expect this to be as good as, if not better than Dead Throne.
| |
Dead Throne was so terrible
They've been on such the wrong track since Zombie
Generic metalcore, now heavier and less fun
| |
Are these things you talk about wow characters
| |
dead throne is just a longer version of zombie trebor
It really wasn't though
Also I think you're misunderstanding what he's saying
| |
Expecting big tings
| |
metal is saved
| |
The vocals on dead throne are almost unlistenable.
| |
yeah and the production is shit
| |
Expecting decent music paired with fucking horrendous vocals.
| |
So stoked!
| |
I liked their last album. Looking forward to this.
| |
Expecting Adam D to work his magic. Could be the biggest surprise of the year.
| |
Will be a total ripoff of Rescue & Restore
| |
Rexpects
| |
Yeah Adam D is a magician behind the board. Also this should be pretty good.
| |
If the band expierements more and doesn't just straight up go heavier on us I think this could be pretty decent
| |
it's gonna be hit or miss
| |
It's gonna rule face, i'm pretty sure.
| |
"Ever since Zombie, the band seem to be on the right track" [2]
Dead Throne was pretty good don't get the hate.
I expect an improved tdwp
| |
Dead Throne lost some peaks, but gained on the consistency side. Anyway yes, the band has been maturing the right way. Always loved these guys, even when their albums were hard to swallow. Mike Hranica is one of the biggest inspirations in growling, Rubey is an insane good songwriter, and they all seem like awesome guys.
That said, i think Rubey took care of this album's songwriting to a big extent, and since he also did on Zombie... Here's hoping for moar Zombie brutality!!
| |
this will be a 2.5-3 out of 5
| |
I'm excited. I liked Dead Throne.
| |
expect....expectancy
| |
Zombie and Dead Throne were both great steps in the right direction, so I expect this will be them taking that sound even further. Excited.
| |
last 2 are their best so i'm interested
| |
will be a solid 2.5
| |
zombie was great
| |
at least a 3.0 probably, given that they've learned how to write music in the last few years. Last album + Zombie EP were good.
| |
Hopefully it'll be good but I'm really not expecting much.
| |
Why do people hate on Mike's vocals? He sounds pretty damn good in zombies and dead throne. Anyway, expecting great stuff on the new record.
| |
Hoping for the best, expecting the worse.
| |
Sweet.
| |
Ya dead throne was okay hopefully this will be better
| |
If they lose the shitty clean autotuned vocals and try some different song structures then this might be good
| |
Are you an audio engineer, how the fuck do you know
All I know is that fuck drummer used fake double bass kicks in that one song cuz when they played it live he bitched out and halved the kicks
| |
i do like the zombie ep but yeah this band is ballsack for the most part
| |
I can't remember, I think it's on With Roots Above
| |
I was trying to scroll through the album and find it, my fucking word that whole album is one big chug
| |
Some of their stuff sounds autotuned but that might just be that their vocals are really squeaky clean
| |
Gimme Half starting at 1:40
| |
Im sure this will be awesome. They have improved so much since they started

These sound autotuned
| |
lol that's not autotuned, wtf? And he made a massive change in his cleans in Dead Throne.
Anyways, Dead Throne was one of my favorite albums of 2011 so I'm excited for this. Tracks like
Chicago are a massive step up from their previous work.
| |
Daniel Williams is an underrated drummer, agreed.
| |
will be good
| |
Yaaaaaay!
| |
Expectations are overrated.
| |
dead throne was enjoyable
| |
Dead Throne was so terrible
They've been on such the wrong track since Zombie
Generic metalcore, now heavier and less fun
this has to be a shitpost, zombie was leagues ahead of anything they've ever done. i mean fuck, with roots above was one of the most boring albums of any genre ive ever heard, it was near unlistenable
| |
i hate the harsh vocalist. it seems he only has 1 range and i get sick of him very fast.
just my 2 cents.
| |
mike's a very effective vocalist indeed.
| |
i loved him in plagues, after that... not really. i dont know what it is, but i just can't stand the way his harsh vocals sound.
the band doesnt deserve the hate they get though, they've obviously matured a lot.
| |
mildly interested
| |
That production team should be an excellent match for the band to make something both mature and heavy. Worked wonders on the last Underoath album.
| |
their drummer halves his double bass allot. i remember seeing them an he did it on the first song. which was sassafrass i think. their is a video for it too somewhere lol. adam d will work wonders though.
| |
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GCBrIPl1_5M
Video of Daniel not playing all the kicks in Sassafras. Sloppy playing in general.
| |
everyone is entitled to their own opinion obviously, i just simply stated dude doesnt sound good IMO. tis all.
| |
his screams have gotten worse with each album honestly. plagues was the best imo.
| |
no doubt, i just wish his screams weren't like they are now. just opinions though, you're certainly right about them maturing. it's quite obvious within their song writing.
| |
very true
| |
I actually tinker with audio engineering and I'd say a good bit of Plagues had autotuned cleans. Just listen to HTML Rulez Dood (or however the fuck they spelled it). They sound less processed on the two more recent albums and the Zombie EP but even the most talented singers these days have some amount pitch correction on studio albums.
But this album could either be great or extremely meh. Nothing they've put out since Zombie has been terrible, just extremely mediocre.
| |
oh yeah, even I could tell they were auto tuned, and I'm no sound engineer.
| |
i love how everyone hates them but we all defend zombie. It was good agreed but i might be too old for this
| |
Lame band
| |
maybe so andcas
but i couldnt get off the toilett yesterday if that brings me any closer?
| |
imagine "Zombie II". fuck yes
| |
"
better get life alert
"
haha coming from andcas
| |
Disagree with Dead Throne being a longer version of Zombie. Its solidity is comparable, but that's all
| |
sorry andcas
| |
Zombie and Dead throne are very much different bro
| |
True. Both are steps in the right direction though, that we can all agree on!
| |
Band suuuuuckkkkksss. I will never understand the boner this site has gotten for them over the past year or so.
| |
Zombie and Dead Throne were big steps up from the garbage they used to put out, so I'm fairly excited.
| |
Zombie's their most boring imo
I love their first three, they're super fun
Dead Throne's sweet.
Excited for this
| |
Hoping this will be awesome, I love the stuff that Matt Goldman has done with Underoath and Chariot, among others....
| |
andcas riding a lot of scene cock once again
| |
It wont be
| |
Dead Throne had some sweet tracks, not as fun as With Roots Above or Zombie but I'm looking forward to hearing this, I think it will atleast be a little more experimental.
| |
I 5d Zombie
| |
Honestly, pretty excited
