Cool. No-Man's also gonna record a new album this summer too :D

only heard their first album, so not having steven on it much will be a bit weird if i get round to listening. will try to check out at some point though.
|
| |
I hope that this will be letter than their last effort. It was a little bit boring compared to the other 2 albums
|
| |
Good news. Although I hope 'IV' will be more interesting than 'Welcome to my DNA'. Not saying that that album sucked, but it certainly could have done with a bit more...'excitement' maybe?

bands band's* gosh
|
| |
I and II are so good would be cool to see a return to... good
|
| |
I've been a Steven/Porcupine Tree fan for a couple years, but when I found out about this last night I
realized i've never actually listened to Blackfield. Listened to two songs by them (Blackfield, from
the first album and Pills from this album). I think I liked the older one better but both were good.
Gonna have to look more into this band

Aviv has written also the material here, with Wilson just joining for guitar-work and vocals. So, it will probably be bland like the last Aviv-driven effort.
|
| |
As far as I know, Aviv has always been the driving force behind Blackfield. Steven Wilson is just there to enhance and contribute certain ideas into the music, but most songwriting is by Aviv.
|
| |
The writing was split between them on the first two albums iirc.
|
| |
Yeah, as far as I can tell the first albums were more of a collaboration, now it's mostly an Aviv solo project with bits of Steven here and there
|
| |
Welcome to my DNA sucked, with even less (no pun intended) Steven this will surely suck even more

"No-Man's also gonna record a new album this summer too"
I didn't know that, its about time if that is true, "Schoolyard Ghosts" was magnificent.
