"Yes, you're right, Muse has become too mainstreem. Today all bands make orchestral dubstep.
A**holes!! Muse is always changing its style! Rock, Flamenco, Classical, Electronic... This song is a master piece, like Survival!! Those new sounds, those majestic vocals, those Queen-like melodies.
If you hate it because you say that Muse has changed, it means that you don't know Muse."

People...

Video is not that bad, sadly the song is terrible. The solo sucks, lyrics are bad and the part of m-m-m-m madness its a total joke

Look, I'm able to enjoy this song for what it is but that's about it

I have no idea how people are able to defend it and call it a 'bold new step for muse' or some shit. Doesn't even touch their older stuff.

None of this criticism matters when I consider that Matt Bellamy is banging Kate Hudson and I'm not =[

It's the one thing he'll always be able to bring up and I have nothing to defend myself with there...

Pretty lazy song but catchy nonetheless. At least this track goes somewhere and it isn't nearly as painful as other tracks released off this album. I still have zero expectations for this clusterfuck of an album.

"album will be the worst of the year"

Green Day and Muse are locked in a heated battle to try take the crown of "worst band on earth" away from Nickleback.

If I thought the more wubby direction was just a gimmick, like Korn, I'd perhaps try and poke a bit more fun at these guys.

Ironically enough, I enjoyed this. A lot.

M. Night Shymalan twist: I liked this one. It's silly to expect something as good as their earlier work, and this is a really catchy song. There were some things about it that were stupid, but if the album is more like this and less like the terribad Second Law song, then it should be at least an enjoyable listen.

this album is going to be SOOOOOOOO bad that it's going to have a ton of hipsters defending it as a work of pure art and it will literally transcend the confines of what we consider to be music

Acanthus

Hipster doesn't really mean much anymore, just a way of invalidating others while puffing up your own uniqueness.

I might like this album more than their last, just have to wait and see.

Is it really that bad? It's poppy and mainstream but does that make it shit? Not really my bag but they are doing a change from what they normally do. Good for them, it will still sell bucketloads.

"Am I the only one to notice this is U2's numb versus Queen's "I Want To Break Free"?"

Actually I thought almost the exact same thing. I didn't narrow it down to a particular U2 song, but I was totally thinking
"I Want To Break Free" mixed with U2. On paper it may sound like a decent combination, but then it ends up being this.

As far as mainstream music goes, Muse is great. You gotta respect that they're not afraid to take risks. All of their albums sound different and are all very diverse. Also, it's pretty cool that the bassist is actually playing the "wub" parts and not just using a computer.

Nothing on the radio at the moment sounds like Madness. Sure there is Queen influence in the vocal melodies, but they're
a classic band that no longer makes music. I see nothing wrong with incorporating similar elements in modern music.

"They should disband right now ."

Definitely. When a band works a fifteen year career, makes a couple of critically acclaimed records, has multiple radio hits and commercial success to the point where they can sell out Wembley Stadium 3 times in a row, it's only logical that they disband, right?!
