i really did wish i could get excited about this band but their music is just so uninteresting to me

weirdly enough though the eye of every storm was great, but i always lost interest when it came to the 'climaxes' or the heavier parts of the record. which are what the rest of their discography (apart from the early records) consist of almost entirely. :[

Sadly, I won't get this for a while even after it comes out because I'm listening through their discog choronologically, taking a while over each album, and I'm still on Enemy of the Sun

I'm pumped, although judging purely from the (ehh) title it'll be more their heavier stuff while I prefer the quieter stuff like Eye

I've really lost interest in Neurosis over the past few years but I'm still looking forward to this

Fuck man, Baseline, all they sing about is nature and that related environmental and geographical shit while hoping that it comes off across as deep and meaningful. No emo or angst in that.

Lot of post-metal goodness to look forward to this year, pretty stoked for this.

Rosetta needs to release a new album. That set aside, Neurosis is an influential (but) overrated band; there are much more talented Post-Metal bands today, not necessarily releasing "seminal" albums.

I liked Given to the Rising overall more than Eye. I was kind of hoping for something similar to their last one.
