Probably the best song ever recorded. It was so good, I hate it. In fact, It's so flawless and perfect, that it is actually horrible. So by default, it's quite possibly the worst song of the year. It was so bad that as soon as it started playing through my speakers, my dog vomited. Seriously not joking, my dog threw up about 10 seconds into the song. Maybe Matt Bellamy will die in a horrible bass dropping incident on their inevitable upcoming "groundbreaking tour". We can only hope...

that's kind of the problem with electronic music in general. it's so based in technology and we all know how fast technology becomes outdated and obsolete. a shitty, outdated synth sound could really ruin an otherwise well composed song.

Nah its not the production Auber. I think we've reached an point with technology where the sounds themselves wont sound dated. The 80s stuff sounds a little dated because the technology was primitive, but I think from the 90s on electronic stuff still sounds fresh to me. Im just saying the actual style of dubstep is going to be so heavily associated with this time that its going to sound ridiculously dated.

That's why I was so frustrated with the thread - the review was definitely positive, but everybody was giving him a hard time, for no good reason.

Somebody tried to say "wow, this gets a 65% when Rick Ross gets 80%? Absolutepunk sucks." While that statement may be true, he didn't even consider the fact that the two reviews were by two different reviewers.

Song rules, you're faggots with a small penis, jajajajajajajajaj. Just kidding guys , I agree with a big percent of the comments here, this song is perhaps the most pointless thing released by Muse. When it seems that bellamy could save the song that gay robot kills the song; now my expectations for the next album are decreasing and my advice for Bellamy and company is that hearing brostep while they are on drugs is not a very good idea ; despite the 2 songs and some tracks of resistance they have a consistent discography so they should correct their mistakes for the future.

No matter what way you slice it, this is the worst sounding thing they have ever done in their time as a band. If they think that this sounds good, then they've obviously completely lost all the artistic integrity they once had. Their first few albums sounded authentically "epic" and didn't need stupid intros. This song is a sign of a band that has completely lost sight of what they once were. Absolute garbage.

Why has every band in the world suddenly decided to do dubstep? Fucking metallica's next album will
probably be dubstep too if this is the way things are headed..And sadly that wouldn't even be
surprising after "Lulu" or whatever

This is half the reason why I dibbed it. If you happen to see a youtube account with a name similar to mine posting a link to the review on the youtube page for this song, it's probably not coincidental

Sometimes 'hate' is the wrong word for the situation. I often feel a sort of distaste for something that is utterly and totally awful from every perspective. This outlook, feeling a comfortable grasp on something that is fully described and fully shite, i am going to call 'shate'. I shate Muse.

Not sure about that. They'll take the Linkin Park path where they ditch a lot of hardcore fans while picking up just as many new ones with their newest album.

This is different because LP was one of the key bands of genre in decline and they were trying to go to another horizon, sadly the results weren't the best and everybody prefers two classic albums like HT and Meteora over MTM and ATS, and living things is a little step forward. The path of muse is more like the path of metallica cuz they had a very consistent discography but in the 5th album they decided to make an unnecesary experimentation and they went downhill.

"that's kind of the problem with electronic music in general. it's so based in technology and we all know how fast technology becomes outdated and obsolete. a shitty, outdated synth sound could really ruin an otherwise well composed song."

you're so right. it really is one of the trials of being an electronic artist...keeping up with the times. the technology is improving way too fast, it's really getting out of hand, as an electronic musician. i spent weeks perfecting my Van Halen Jump patch for a house track and by the time I finished it was the 21st century

Not bad at all, but certainly not great. I'll give the song credit, it is incredibly epic. I don't have a problem with dubstep, it's a great game changer in electronic music, but it feels tedious at times. I can't say whether or not Muse has a unique idea for their experimental sound this time around. It almost feels like Muse has finally cracked and is trying to catch up with with a completely NEW sound. Linkin Park experiments like this (for better or for worse.)
