I don't see why this band is so loved. The production sounds horrible in addition to the cliche music.

Production isnt that bad. but Its deathcore usually plastic sounding. I wish the drums stood out more besides the audible kick.

Album slays, I agree that the drum production is shit though, half of Adam's fills are easily missed due to the lack of volume.

Loving it so far, a lot heavier than AtD (not that I minded that) but yeah, so far my only complaint is the inaudibility of
drums for the most part.

Standard deathcore? this is the least deathcore of all their albums... If anything TPOE was as deathcore as it gets.

and i love how everyone is judging the albums sound off of an album stream. Which 9/10 compressed down to 128kbs for the internet. You all sound retarded, wait for the CD.

anarchistfish
July 20th 2011
30588 Comments

no. the drum production is noticeably worse than the other instruments

Se2ondComing
July 20th 2011

Drums are more difficult to produce then guitars. A compression rate of 128Kbs is more then enough to shit on the sound of drums. When tracks are compressed the volume of the drums is usually the first to go. I have a 320Kbs leak (CD Quality) and the drums sound fantastic. Until any of you know the first thing about production none of you should speak. just saying lol

And I have a leak of the album at 256kbs and that's what I was basing my opinion off

"He sounded much weaker on Awaken the dreamers, but I know what you're saying" Well, i never really listened to awaken the dreamers, but his vocals were really good and varied on TPOE.

I really don't see how anyone that liked the vocals on TPoE can complain about the vocals on this one... he sounds almost just as good as he used to. And he fully and clearly pronounces every word which is something many vocalists in the genre are too lazy to do.

^ Correct. Ben is still there. Unlike everyone else I couldn't care less that they lost Chris, sure he was a good guitarist but Francesco is just as good if not better imo.

If the whole album sounded like the last track this thing would be epic. They were onto something for the first half of Awaken the Dreamers and I really wish they would have stayed more in that direction, rather than just regressing back into more straightforward deathcore for most of this album.

Adam Pierce sucks. Matt Kuykendall was much better.

And Francesco has that "I'm a music school graduate" feel to his work. Chris just went with what he felt, and that's why this album blows in perspective to what's been released so far this year.

I had much higher hopes for this album.
