Oh darn, Devin was a huge part of the versatility of this band, since he could do both the clean & screamed vocals.

HOWEVER, the fact that Emery were so flexible means he is technically does not have to be replaced. Anyone who has seen them play live, knows Toby can also play bass while performing his clean vocals (& Josh screams away).

I saw this band shortly after In shallow seas and they weren't that great anyway. I like their CDs but they aren't too great live. Oh well, he'll probably be on the new album so who cares.

Dogget is right, the singers do sound pretty much the same, it's really the hooks and melodies that made the band. They'll just have to find another bassist with a good voice, that shouldn't be too hard. Anyway, the guy will still be on the album, so fans get to listen to him one last time

Despite it not being Post-Hardcore's best ever, In Shallow Seas was awesome. I expect tp be doisappointed.

This is just wrong. I really wish Emery would release a statement telling us about their future plans and lineup....they really need to start adding some new members and stop losing them, they need a full old line up to pull off all their old songs well.

This saddens me a lot... Emery is one of my favorite bands. And the fact that they were all together since the beginning made me love them even more. I hope this won't change anything music-wise. March 29th has to come soon!!!
