s/t has 2 decent songs, but the whole album is safe as shit and has some of the most cringeworthy lyrics ever. There's no justifying a grown man singing "I have a crush on you, baby ohhhhhh. I wish I could let you know." (paraphrasing because I'd rather eat a kitten than hear that song again)

No okay I didn't mind the s/t, but Less Cute was incredibly terrible. My friend that got me into SA in the first place likes it the most which is kinda weird.*shrug*

This is cool and all but im way more interested in the next Say Anything record, since after reading Max's very lonng future of SA blog post, the new album sounds very intriguing.

I've noticed a lot of the newer fans that have been jumping aboard, like their s/t the best since it's much more accessible. While most older fans prefer Is A Real Boy.

Self Titled is fucking awesome. But I dislike the fact that the lyrics are a lot less subtle. (Eg. Admit It!!! > Hate Everyone.)

Ehh to each his own. I think most fans will say it's Bemis' best, but I can see people maybe saying In Defense, since that one is a definite grower. Mv second favorite atm.

I got into Say Anything with Is a Real Boy, so I have that bias as well.

Yeah I think IaRB is like the obvious choice. All three are so great that I could see any of them being my favorite, depending on my mood. In Defense of the Genre is my favorite right now (well the second disc anyway; I didn't like it at first but now I like it way way more than the first disc).
