I fell in love with the Atmosphere that had both a battle mentality and an introspective side -- before dorks started throwing around the term "emo rap." When Slug was able to say something deep and dope at the same time, when he was rhyming shit inside of his lines and still hitting on like 5 or 6 syllables at the end (like using a cleaver on cantelope my flow is dope and leaves your plans and hopes on the shoulders of the cold killed carcasses of no skilled smartasses).

Shit, when there were fucking 5 people in the group. It's unfortunate that Overcast! is the best single album representation of that group, because it's there in bits and pieces on the Headshots Se7en discs and some old Sad Clowns, even Lucy Ford -- but a lot of the dopest shit was unreleased, you can only find it on the most random of Sad Clown discs or on made-up internet compliations.

God Loves Ugly is amazing, and still the best single album they put out. But the reasons I started loving them so much were on Overcast! and the random tapes/cd rips my friends hooked me up with back in the day.

I think it is, but I think a lot of people that get into them now like their new stuff. God Loves Ugly is a pretty good mix of both styles.
