Kid Selzy is not in our database. Get on it Sobhi.
|
| |
Fuck this. This case will hopefully make to Australia's highest court, since the kid should definitely win.
|
| |
This is fucking retarded.
|
| |
Gonna have to side with the kid here, this does seem a little bullshit
|
| |
I just noticed the photo in the story; The kid hardly looks like a rap fan to me.
|
| |
wtf seriously? those cops are retarded
|
| |
this kid has my full support in court. the cops should be good sports and retort from their criminal resorts. BAM!!!
|
| |
Its crap considering they could have just fined him for a noise violation (if it was too loud). If it wasn't excessively loud.... Wow. Yes Victorian cops. Surprised they didn't shoot him....

Related Reviews: Ignorance Never Dies
LOL
|

If you're gonna do that CK, than I'd say he looks like a tard (but that's a digression anyway)
"If profanity's not your thing, don't listen."
The fucking idiot, the whole reason this case exists is because he is technically forcing people to listen to the profanity.
|
| |
I have no idea where that related review came from & what it is.
Good point DrReg. I think a fine would have been more in order.
This Kid Selzy is probably licking his lips from all this publicity.
|
| |
theres no way this shit holds up

Ummmm.
|
| |
not a typical looking hip hop fan at all.. from the limited amount of songs ive heard from him i couldn't really say his lyrics were offensive at all.. hope he wins so sick of the cops especially after they gave me a drinking in public fine for throwing an empty beer bottle in the bin the other night
|
| |
If he's playing offensive music loudly, then he should get stomped for it. Especially for listening to shit music.
|
| |
my comment rhymed; but this seriously messed up; its like 1999 all over again
|
| |
Somewhere on this Earth, Eminem is pissed this didn't happen with his music.
|
| |
"its like 1999 all over again"
What does Prince have to do with this? ;-)
|
| |
the cops would find eminems new 'accent' offensive..
|
| |
shit is funny
|
| |
pic of kid is hilarious...
|
| |
He was probably driving a suzuki swift with frangipani stickers on the rear window
|
| |
Would laugh if the arresting officers were Opeth fans or something similar.
|
| |
Yeah I lol'd at the picture too.
|
| |
this case is ridiculous, but i'm sorry that kid really needs a fucking beatdown for that picture.
|
| |
i thought the same thing
|
| |
God, Australia is going bananas.
|
| |
the cops would find eminems new 'accent' offensive..
wow yr funny bro.
|
| |
being a victorian lad myself, i see douches like this all the time. particularly in remote country towns for some reason.
|
| |
should have listened to Chris Rock when he said "turn that shit down!"
|
| |
He looks like a BrokenCYDE fan, so he's probably guilty.
|
| |
Looking at him, he's a total loser. And yeah, misogny in lyrics is excessive but seriously, this case is bullshit.
|
| |
I don't care if the case is unreasonable, this is awesome news
|
| |
way to go!!
|
| |
Now if only rap becomes illegal period
|
| |
oh now c'mon now
now
|
| |
Watch and learn kids: Rap and Hip-Hop will get you nothing, it will only get you in jail.
At least in Australia
|
| |
it's weird because the most prolific aussie hip-hop is far from gangster
|
| |
Now if only rap becomes illegal period
Now if only we could make stupid comments like that a bannable offense...
it's weird because the most prolific aussie hip-hop is far from gangster
Aye, that's what I was thinking. Really its just the few shitty posers that ruin it for everyone.
|
| |
Wouldn't have happened in NZ js
|
| |
That's because your police are too busy making reality tv shows about speed cameras.
|
| |
Kid deserves to be arrested for that haircut alone
|
| |
That's because your police are too busy making reality tv shows about speed cameras.
That apparently only screen in Oz? All we got are nuclear pie warning cops
|
| |
Seriously? They have like 4 NZ based cop shows on over here. That pretty much amount to the police pulling them over and asking them their details. There aren't even any chases/crashes.
|
| |
yeah what's with the wealth of NZ motor cop shows
|
| |
i remember watching an episode about people who were taking too many pippies from a beach
it got pretty intense needless to say

Hey man, that's a highlight! As for the # of shows, what are they called? All I can think of is Highway Patrol
|
| |
There's a few, Highway Patrol, a few other patrol ones. I know there's a number of them because they're on different channels.
|
| |
i think there's motor patrol as well.
and the one i was referring to was border patrol or something
it's just funny because kiwi's have this very innocent way of life and going about things. it's totally non-threatening.

About half of the time anyway. But I know what you mean, the NZ cop shows are never overly interesting. Do you get Police 10/7 over there, now that's a classic show!
|
| |
yes do. and check this out for proof
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=li1V1xdWizQ
lol
|
| |
Classic. the guy doing the voiceover is Graham Bell, he's about as oldschool as they come. uses words like 'boofheads' and 'these group of hoods' to describe young people.
I'm sure you've seen this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2oVTULyWZk

Who is the big name at the mo anyway, Hilltop Hoods?
|
| |
A maori or polynesian thug of a medium to fat build.
|
| |
omg that look !
|
| |
Who is the big name at the mo anyway, Hilltop Hoods?
yeah and the herd and urthboy and phrase and stuff. i'm not well versed in the genre so i can't say who is "it" at the moment.
|
| |
The Herd are amazing.
And lol at the article.
|
| |
why all the complaining this article is full of win
|
| |
hes a rap fan??? LOL.
|
| |
I'm definitely on the cops side here. They should have administered some good ol fashioned police brutality to this douche.
|
| |
I dont care for this. the kid looks like a right cunt
|
| |
This is an interesting case. It seems like the cops overreacted, though. They got the asshole, but for the wrong offense, I think.
Just tell the punk to quiet the fuck down.
|
| |
Listening to cra...I mean rap should be punishable by law anyways hahahahaha. Nah, we need music to keep them pigs at bay!
|
| |
If i was the cops i'd look for any excuse to arrest that thing too
|
| |
Kid looks like a kid I want to punch out.
|
| |
just because you dont like the way he looks doesnt mean he should be arrested for no real reason. this
infringes civil liberties. shouldnt the cops be doing more productive things with their time? they'd
probably have done the same thing to you guys if you were listening to heavy metal or something.
the reaction to this in these comments shows whats wrong with our generation
|
| |
The fashion police?
But seriously, this kid needs to learn a lesson. That garbage is not to be heard by ANY ears.
|
| |
Not a fan of rap in the slightest. But apparently from the article the police actually walked up to the car whilst momentarily unoccupied and stuck there heads in to listen to the lyrics.....
If the music was THAT loud enough to be offense why did they have to stick their heads in to hear it.
The kid may look like a douchbag full of homo dropping and the genre of music may be derided by non fans, but this shouldn't and hopefully won't stand in court because it'll turn around to every music genre including gospel ( forcing the beliefs of a religion) Metal ( satanism, violence) and every other misguided, mythological stigma attached to every other genre to be may allowable to be charged for.
|
| |
kid doesn't need to be arrested, but someone needs to slap that eyeliner off him and tell him to stop taking myspace photos.
edit: just listened to kid selzy. simply awful.
|
| |
^my thoughts exactly. common sense here at last
|
| |
hes kinda hot
|
| |
lol Australians listening to rap.
WHITE POWAAAA
|
| |
They should have just fined him, but otherwise, I agree with the cops. The amount of defense for the kid here is lolworthy.
|
| |
Why should they have fined him? For playing music in his car? You're a fucking moron. The type of
music he was playing/his appearance isn't the point here.
|
| |
is anyone here going to do anything about this or just bitch about it
|
| |
I think they went overboard by arresting him but i think its punishable. Its not that he was playing music in his car its the fact that it was right in front of a public place where everyone could hear it. If i had a 4 year kid leaving the super market i would be pretty mad it they were being F bombs. I don't care what you wanna listen to but don't make me or my kids listen to it. Arresting the kid though is going way to far.
|
| |
That is assuming that the Police could actually hear it from a distance if it could just be heard right beside the car then nothing should have been done.
|
| |
Next time I go to Australia I'll remember not to blast my ruffian street music, which is probably better anyways seeing as it's obviously made for the proles. : |
|
| |
What the ehf is all of this business about?
it certainly is not illegal to buy a cd or to listen to it rather and australia now seems to have some douchebag cops
|
| |
Listened to Kid Selzy and well....the shittiness of that music coupled with the look of this kid is enough to put him away for life
|
| |
The kid is kind of a cutie
|
| |
lol piratesquid xD
|
| |
I'd do him
|
| |
Kid is ugly
|
| |
Now that i look at him,, he is ugly.
|
| |
Your mom's ugly
He's hawt
|
| |
Except his eyeshadow makes him look douchey
|
| |
finally the police do something right.
|
| |
hahahahhahaaha wow
|
| |
STFU scream u like billy talent
|
| |
Governments everywhere are going fucking retarded!!!
|
| |
Judging from the kid's picture, he belongs in prison. Hopefully, they will also take away his eyeliner and hair iron.
|
| |
Except his eyeshadow makes him look douchey
He IS a complete douche.
|
| |
awful case and it should be thrown out. however hearing about that kid smuggling eyeliner up his ass into prison would be priceless..
|
| |
lolololol
|
| |
He IS a complete douche. No denial, but he's still cute so nyeh
|
| |
well he's gonna be taking it in prison because he's a passable female.
|
| |
Kid looks like a horse. An emo horse.
|
| |
they should arrest kids for blaring today's country music. now that's a crime
|
| |
The picture of the kid is almost enough for me to side against him.
|
| |
lol
|
| |
I don't care what you wanna listen to but don't make me or my kids listen to it.
This
That being said, they did over-react, the kid doesn't deserve jail-time, even if he does look like an emo horse.
|
| |
Not all rap is garbage.
|
| |
just because you dont like the way he looks doesnt mean he should be arrested for no real reason. this
infringes civil liberties. shouldnt the cops be doing more productive things with their time? they'd
probably have done the same thing to you guys if you were listening to heavy metal or something.

Cool story bro! You do realize you're part of the problem too?
Why should they have fined him? For playing music in his car? You're a fucking moron.
Some countries have noise restrictions moron and I would agree with the cops if that was the case.
|
| |
Maybe we could compromise & make him watch 24 hours straight of NZ cop shows.
|
| |
Some countries have noise restrictions moron and I would agree with the cops if that was the case.
Agree with you there Wiz, but I wouldn't be surprised if this happened simply as a result of the actual lyrical content
Maybe we could compromise & make him watch 24 hours straight of NZ cop shows.
Or 24 hours of Home And Away/Neighbours
|
| |
If I was the cop and heard that, I would probably just smash his stereo. Guy is lucky I ain't a pig!
Agree with you there Wiz, but I wouldn't be surprised if this happened simply as a result of the actual lyrical content
I was just pointing out the stupidity in his statement, that's all. No doubting from my side.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypmLeuWeNpc
Emo horse boy must learn from this.
|
| |
"Or 24 hours of Home And Away/Neighbours"
Come on man, don't go overboard. Why don't you just hang the guy.
|
| |
Come on man, don't go overboard. Why don't you just hang the guy.
Lol, okay that was a bit harsh. How about Rove then?
|
| |
Show doesn't exist anymore & has been wiped from our memory.
I say we give him no helmet & let Mitchell Johnson bowl at him.
|
| |
"I was just pointing out the stupidity in his statement, that's all"
Oh, i'm the one being stupid? So much total douchiness around here recently. So you support people getting arrested because of playing music in their car that has "offensive lyrical content". It seems to me from reading the articles that the so-called offensive lyrics are the problem here, not the volume. Either way, getting arrested because of it is retarded.
|
| |
Back to partial seriousness, I think it was a combination of the lyrics & the volume. The article does suggest that it was the lyrical content that was the issue, but I doubt it would have become relevant had the volume not been high.
I would have hoped that the police told him to turn it down and only arrested him after he refused or told them to go forth & multiply.
|
| |
"Why should they have fined him? For playing music in his car? You're a fucking moron." - No genius, for blaring explicit music in a public place. Let me guess, all you read was the title?
|
| |
[QUOTE]Or 24 hours of Home And Away/Neighbours[QUOTE]
Technically those shows whilst set in Australia are British productions.
|
| |
No they're not. They're both owned and produced in Australia, by Australian companies. Unfortunatly.
|
| |
Coulda sworn it was penned and produced by the same asshole who made Coronation Street.
|
| |
Na. Neighbours is Southern Star Productions and Home and Away is Seven Network Productions I think. They are both WAY more popular in Britain than they are here though. Which sucks for me, what with my girlfriend being British and all.
|
| |
What the article fails to mention is that the teen had his music cranked with the windows of his car down outside a shopping centre early on a weekday morning when there were parents with young kids around etc doing their shopping. In the circumstances I believe that this is offensive.
Also I highly doubt that the teen was arrested, in fact in this instance the only way he could have been arrested was if he failed to turn the music down or failed to give his name and address, in which case he deserves what he gets.
Don't believe all that's published by the Herald Sun, they are frequently inaccurate
|
| |
AwesomeSauce, it scares me you know so much about those 2 shows.
|
| |
Kid looks like a kid that deserves a beating.
|
| |
"rap fan Nathan Wilkie"
couldn't put it any whiter than that, unless maybe it said "rap enthusiast"
|
| |
I scare myself sometimes Davey. Thank yourself lucky you haven't been dragged kicking and screaming on the Neighbours tour. Dark days I tells ya.
|
| |
agreed my bundlesticks.

that kids a rap fan? hahaha. bet he turns his rap music down when he sees black people cause lord knows, they'd laugh at him too.
|
| |
We need an aboriginal rap posse.
|
| |
They'd probably be more talented than black and white rappers put together. And they could lay thier beats down with a digerydoo.
Wow there's a whole market to be tapped here
|
| |
Silver eyeshadow = serious fucking business.
|
| |
We need an aboriginal rap posse.
Oh God, imagine if they reclaimed the hate speech much like the black americans? It'd be anarchy.
|
| |
that's what he gets for listening to rap
|
| |
Listening to Catfight On A Hotdog won't land you in jail, just the arms of babes.
|
| |
Oh and Wilcania Mob.
|
| |
Any jackass who listens to such profane music at a volume at which others around him must listen to it or otherwise wear noise-cancelling earphones deserves punishment. This kid is an asshole, plain and simple.
|
| |
warnabool is a gnarly town
Oh god, no wonder he got arrested nothing happens there.
I recently read that they were thinking about bringing this in as law only last week, but it got shut down. Must of taken its time to get down the road to the 'bool LOL
|
| |
I dunno Dougie... I took you as a 'bool kind of guy.
|
| |
Ha, you melbournians complain about a little rain!

I never said once that I supported it. Not only do I know now that you're a moron, you can't read either hahahaha jk. Seriously, let the douchiness go because no one takes this article seriously. Fight real issues in the world, stop worrying about what other countries laws dictate. Trust me when I say this, the ones that care about your thoughts (which seem genuine) will only read and never post back (besides this post hahaha).

tbh australia is becoming the next china
|

freedom of speach only works if it's not blatantly offensive, or instigating upheavel.
if enough people can attest that this "speach", that dosen't hold any representative value, offended them, then he's guilty.
if goes like this.
if you curse out some guy for no reason, you can get arrested.
if you curse out a senator for policy, then you can't be. simple enough?
|
| |
cool story, bro
|

Late in here but there's obviously more to the story and the kid sounds like a douchebag anyway just turn the radio down and go play it somewhere where you have friends
|
