I was considering declaring this the worst week of the year until MELT-BANANA(!) saved it

(I am definitely making a few assumptions, but yeah my word does it look bleak otherwise ...based on this lot anyway)

Zakusz

Wow Willie, thanks for the morale boost man!!

Sunnyvale

Pretty big week for me - Fontaines D.C., Kishi Bashi, and Motorpsycho are the headliners, but some interesting lesser-known artists as well.

The new Phantom Handshakes is out today, and is pretty wonderful, for the dream pop-ish crowd.

Zakusz
08.22.24
Yes new motor psycho!

not on the list:

Motorpsycho - Neigh!!! (internet's busiest prog nerds)
Body Meat - Starchris (glitch pop)
Magdalena Bay - Imaginal Disk (literal pop joy)
Scrunchies - Colossal (artsy grunge)
Uniform - American Standard (drony doomy noisy ugly hardcore metallic wizardry)
Spectral Wound - Songs of Blood and Mire (naughty bm)
Spirit of the Beehive - You'll Have to Lose Something (scrumptious indie post-punk)

AmericanFlagAsh

"yo how does Sabrina Carpenter already have 6 albums? i thought she started making music like a couple weeks ago..."

lmao i thought the same thing apparently she was a disney star or something up until a couple years ago. she treats her pre-2020s music how miley treats her hannah montana stuff
