Here’s a list of major new releases for the entire month of December 2023.  These releases have been condensed into one post as, historically at least, December is a slower time for new musical releases. In the meanwhile, our staff will be working on compiling their highly anticipated “Top Albums of 2023” feature, so stay tuned to see what we anoint as the album of the year. With regards to the below releases, please feel free to request reviews for any of the following albums. From our staff and userbase to you, we wish you and your loved ones a safe and happy holiday season. We’ll see you in January!

That Full of Hell and Nothing album cover looks like another album.... What is it?

11.27.23
Also: new one from Have Mercy, EP from Atmosphere, and reunion record from Codeseven.

LouBreed
11.27.23
Also, a new album The Sentinel by old school prog band Pallas is going to be released on December 15, but IDK if it's significant enough for this list

DoofDoof
11.27.23
Looking forward to new EPs from Clark and Real Lies.

Think the new version of Paradise Losts Icon is coming out.

Albums of a countryish persuasion you also have new ones from Corb Lund and James Elkington.

@sloth. Are you thinking about that Parannoul album?

Oh yeah, it's like the same colours as Parannoul. But the white lines are reminding me of something else

The Bjorko album is the side project from the Amorphis guitarist. It features a lot of guest vocalists, if I remember correctly. The one I'm most interested in has the Carcass vocalist.

Very interested in the new Peter Gabriel and the re-recording of Icon. Apart from that there's always a few sleepers in December so looking forward to unearth some and then cram a whole year of releases in a week before the year ends.

I'm super excited for Paradise Lost. I thought I had another six weeks to wait ;)

Sowing

onionbubs

peter gabriel, have mercy and chief keef are prob all thats left for me

Demon of the Fall
11.28.23
does the album art / song titles represent a change for the better where Health are concerned, sounds daaaaaaaark! I have not been interested in them since the early days

Full of Hell collab might de decent, hmm Nothing / Shoegaze... okay interesting

Flugmorph
11.28.23
waiting for the best band ever's new album: therion

Willie
11.28.23
Theli was so awesome back in the day, but I feel like they wasted their potential after that. I put them in the same "wasted potential" boat as Tiamat with every release after "A Deeper kind of Slumber".

Zakusz
11.29.23
Porcupine Tree has a Blu ray of their tour coming out December 8th. Not sure if that counts but its a big release at the end of the year

chewytapeworm

@Sloth - The Inalienable Dreamness by Discordance Axis?

SlothcoreSam
08.02.24
It does a little, but that's not it, the white borders and blue colour resembles something else.
