Ridiculous week of releases. Please everyone stop releasing music already, gotta work on my AOTY list soon.

Have a great week, Sput people.

Dedes

Lotta good BM to sift through, stoked as hell for new Primordial.

Sunnyvale

will check: 68, Animal Collective, Blonde Redhead, Blood Command, Cherry Glazerr, Jorja Smith, Matana Roberts, Oneohtrix Point Never, Wilco

whoo boy that's a lot of checkage

Demon of the Fall
09.27.23
Tons of stuff on here, most of which I will absolutely not bother with but it seems like we are hitting the big time baby

I NEED that Blonde Redhead return to form and am interested in seeing what OPN cooks up. Otherwise I shall mostly be an onlooker / bystander to see what ends up gaining traction from the right places... whatever that means

Huge week. In addition to several of the above listed records:

Broken Vow Anthropocene (CT Metal/hardcore making their debut on Triple B)

pulses. It Wasn't Supposed to Be Like This (VA swancore, arguably the best swancore act going)

Heavy Lungs All Gas No Brakes (these guys are friends with IDLES, there's an IDLES song about their vocalist)

Armand Hammer We Buy Diabetic Test Strips (Armand Hammer is a rap duo made up of Billy Woods and Elucid)

Dessa Bury the Lede (perhaps the only active member of Doomtree records, certainly the most prolific)

Big week.

Also a new Jlin album coming out, 'Perspective'. Great house and footwork producer back with a new record and the singles have so far been fire.

JohnnyoftheWell
09.27.23
this month has been so far ahead of the rest of the year I still can't quite believe it

MarsKid

"pulses. It Wasn't Supposed to Be Like This (VA swancore, arguably the best swancore act going)"

"(VA swancore, arguably the best swancore act going)"

"VA swancore"

"swancore"

Ah shit, here we go again.

not MarsKid fuming after pouring his heart and soul into declaring swancore dead and Hail the Sun the ultimate winners, finding out there are other bands making bad music out there

MarsKid
09.27.23
It's my fault, I forgot to double-tap. Trusted an off-screen death. The monster's still alive :^(

mkmusic1995
09.27.23
That album cover for Woe is gorgeous, might have to check that out on that basis alone

Flugmorph
09.27.23
very exciting release days, tons to look forward to and check out

gschwen
09.27.23
Also, this album comes out on 10/1 so it'll miss the next release thread:

https://thenietzsche.bandcamp.com/album/full-scorpion
The Nietzsche's Full Scorpion is Ukranian mathcore, album delayed by the war

theBoneyKing
09.27.23
Definitely seems like this is the last big release week of the year before things start winding down in Q4 (though Oct/Nov still have some solid releases, just more spread out). Wilco, AnCo, OPN, and Blonde Redhead are definite checks, Flooding and Stimming are maybes.

DoofDoof
09.27.23
I think October is still quite stacked for me after this week with Sufjan, Spencer Krug, Timber Timbre, The Bathers, Wild Nothing, DJ Shadow, Israel Nash, Forest Swords, Damien Jurado and, erm, The Rolling Stones I guess too

Not massive releases though, except Sufjan

theBoneyKing
09.27.23
Yeah there's at least one exciting release each week until mid-November, which is honestly all I really need anyways.

Pikazilla
09.27.23
swancore needs to fucking die and be forgotten already

gschwen
09.27.23
Note to self: Do not recommend swancore to Pikazilla, ever

henryChinaski
09.28.23
Great week! I should check out '68, also Koyo and Harm's Way

someone
09.28.23

TheNotrap
09.28.23
Primordial for me + catching up

gschwen
09.28.23
Yesterday, Into It. Over It. dropped a surprise compilation of their gigantic "52 Weeks" album, shortened to 15 tracks and re-written/recorded.

Voivod
09.28.23
The end of each month is always packed with new albums, but the amount of interesting stuff that will be released tomorrow is ridiculous.

DaveyMonsoon
09.28.23
Oh nice, didn't know Night in Gales were still going. Might have to check that out even though the only one I've heard from them is Twilight.

gschwen
09.29.23
