Rebecca Black too

That first single is terrible. She keeps trying, though. Have to give her that. Anyway, it's a stacked week for me: Amber Arcades, Delain, Distant, Elyose, In Flames, Isole, Klone... and I'll try Paramore and You Me At Six

Good week for me as well. This feels like the first time there's multiple releases I have serious interest in. Paramore will be my first stop, then Thomas Azier, and might eventually try Pierce the Veil, Yo La Tengo, and Tennis.

You still need to try some Elif, too ;)

looks like a bum week, though I am excited to see which of Paramore and Rebecca Black is more terrible at this point

will peep Narrow Head out of are-they-good-yet obligations and maybe Yo La Tengo in case they've still got it

Not much for me. Paramore out of morbid curiosity and Delain cause the single was catchy. After that I'll retreat to my lair to mine some metal.

Willie
02.07.23
If you're looking to mine some more metal, why not Distant, Elyose, In Flames, Isole, Klone?

@Sowing: A little far off, but I finally checked out the four singles from Meg Myers' upcoming album. She has reinvented her look and her sound. I liked Children of Light II and SOPHIA. Didn't like the other two.

Dude Carnosus is releasing their album this week. It's going to be an incredible tech death album with fresh riffs and great songwriting

Dewinged
02.07.23
@willie all added in my mental notes

Willie

@Dmax: You've caught my attention...

@Dewinged: Good. I'd start with Elyose.

I was initially excited for paramore but I only liked the first single so idk lol

Skittler
02.07.23
If it's not Myspace era Paramore I don't want it.

CriticalMyth

Delain and Paramore for me this week.

Excited for Maps, Narrow Head, and Yo La Tengo.

Also, pretty neat how Distant got The Batman Who Laughs to pose for their album art.

Gnocchi
02.07.23
New Rebecca Black huh?

Skittler
02.07.23
@Gnocchi it only took her 12 years after 'Friday' to drop a full album

JoyfulPlatypus
02.07.23
The teenager in me is pretty hyped to be getting new Paramore and PTV on the same day. The adult in me knows that there's a decent chance both albums are just "okay"

Project
02.08.23
that Delain art is among the worst I have ever seen, unless it is doing the "scene girl with mustache tattoo" bit as a joke

meanwhile the art right below it looks straight out of the newest MTG set lol

DoofDoof
02.09.23
Will try Thomas Azier, Yo La Tengo and Quasi…not expecting too much :/

DoofDoof
02.09.23
Also agree this is an all time low for album artwork

JohnnyoftheWell
02.09.23
lmao very true

Flugmorph
02.10.23
damn thats a big week, gonna check out rebecca black for sure

Dewinged
02.10.23
ok confession time: I didn't know about "Friday"

Gnocchi
02.10.23
I wish that place existed again

Demon of the Fall

'Also agree this is an all time low for album artwork' (2)

damn, yeah this is actually a shocking set all-round really. A couple that flirt with acceptability, but mostly just awfully fugly or nondescript / boring

I hope next week on Feb, 17th for weekly releases you guys make mention of Cheater Slicks comeback album after 11 years, I'll-Fatted Cusses. Popular cult garage punk band that's been releasing music since 1989.

Ill-Fated Cusses, I meant.
