Boris, MOTFM, Norma Jean, Sylvan Esso, idk, seems like a decent week to me.

That Acid album had some nice Manilla Road vibes.

Interesting week in general, even though we’re heading mid August.

Demon of the Fall

There is absolutely no way that Unprocessed album will be good, I mean look at the artwork genre tag combo, lol

that A:Z album cover is hilariously awful

The Halo Effect album is pretty good. It's like modern Dark Tranquillity if the songs were guitar driven instead of keyboard driven. There's some In Flames Colony influence in there, too, but DT is the dominant force (except for a couple of songs that sound like they came straight from Colony).

Of course the biggest release of this eeek is Hollywood undead

granitenotebook
08.11.22
I'm most excited for the new hudmo, I've liked all the singles so far a lot and his music is always exciting if nothing else. Sylvan esso should be cool too they're on a good streak

theBoneyKing
08.11.22
I like the first two Sylvan Esso albums but the last one was lame and the cover of this new one certainly does not breed confidence.

DoctorSpaghetti0
08.11.22
Osees, Norma Jean, and will check Collective Soul

The Seventh Storm album is very good. Great songwriting and execution elevate it big time.

You've lived here Johnny. Have you ever seen them fixing a typo? Well...

One of those weeks that looked uninspiring but the Black Thought, Oh Sees and Panda Bear are all solid as fvck

Sowing
08.13.22
^Didn't know there was new Black Thought. I was probably going to skip Oh Sees and Panda Bear because they're both barely my thing in the first place, but they might be worth spinning on a slow week like this.

The new Goo Goo Dolls is also surprisingly serviceable. It's still generic pop-rock, but definitely their best since Let Love In.

DoofDoof
08.13.22
Sowing, would definitely say try the Panda Bear collab - has the charm and vibes of ‘Person Pitch’ with some catchy song writing, great summer listen

Sowing
08.13.22
I'm already listening to it :-)

Opening track was fantastic, then got a bit samey for a bit, but is picking back up again. Definitely picking up those warm vibes so far.

DoofDoof
08.13.22
I plumped for a 3.5 first spin as I agree not all of it seemed equally compelling on first impressions, definitely 4 out of 5 potential there though
