Gnocchi
11.24.21

"Negură Bunget: Zău

Genre: Dark Folk / Black Metal"

Tell those dark folk to start naming their albums in English.

Dewinged
11.24.21
Added the Imminence album, for some reason i forgot to add it from the get go.

nightbringer
11.24.21
Had no idea new Cynic was on the way.

Gnocchi
11.24.21
It is very much almost here and hyped

LouBreed
11.24.21
There's also a monstrous 7-albums release by Lordi coming this week. I don't know who's going to listen to all this stuff, but it exists : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lordiversity

Dewinged
11.24.21
Jesuschrist, well, consider it mentally added, cause ain't got space for 7 Lordi albums lol

Gnocchi
11.24.21
Ditto

garas
11.24.21
The new Archgoat fucking slays, the review will be finished very soon.
Also one note: the Sunn O))) album comes just in January, not now.

Gnocchi
11.24.21
It get pushed back? That's on me.

Koris
11.24.21
Apparently the genre listing for the new Lordi 7-disc set is:

Hard rock
disco
progressive rock
heavy metal
AOR
thrash metal
industrial metal

Consider my body ready

Flugmorph
11.24.21
nice bowie cover art

LouBreed
11.24.21
@Koris. Fuck, I wasn't going to give this monstrosity even a cursory listen, but you just sold it.
@Dewinged It can be added just as a single boxset "Lordiversity", but it's optional anyway. There are like 2.5 people on this site who give a remote fuck about this. BTW, what about December, is it going to be just one long post for the whole month as per usual or will you break it down by weeks?

Demon of the Fall
11.24.21
I am beyond hyped for the new Noise Trail Immersion. Hoping I can activate Mars with my excitement.

Some sweet ass artwork this week.

Dewinged
11.24.21
@Lou we're planning normal posts for the first 2 weeks and a single one for the last 2 weeks since there's gonna be basically black metal, Christmas albums and compilations.

Gnocchi
11.24.21
Sounds like a good back half of December then.

Demon of the Fall
11.24.21
All at once? Extol releases an Xmas comp featuring sleigh bell remixes from across their discog? I would be unironically all over that shit

Willie
11.24.21
New Voices album comes out this week, too.

Gnocchi
11.25.21
How'd we manage to let that slip past us? Just realized how goaty this week is however.

garas
11.25.21
> Tell those dark folk to start naming their albums in English.
STFU. Lyrics and a title in their native language means so much more than an "empty" English title... you just can't resist to complain about something, huh?

Gnocchi
11.25.21
There’s got to be somebody or we’d all be holding hands together singing hymns

Get Low
11.25.21
"STFU. Lyrics and a title in their native language means so much more than an "empty" English title... you just can't resist to complain about something, huh?"

You missed the joke.

new Tricot album will be out December 17th, that's the last major holdover for the year that I recall.

Dewinged
11.26.21
There are plenty of releases still happening in December, I was suprised myself when checking how many big names were still releasing on the usual dry season.

Gnocchi
11.26.21
Death metal gem on New Year’s Eve too

botb
11.26.21
Oh fuck new noise trail

Demon of the Fall
11.26.21
yeah about that... I was all hyped but not sure how I can actually listen to it without paying for a digital copy (which I never do). Should have just ordered the damn thing!

garas
11.26.21
I really don't get Sunn O)))... they pushed back the release to January, yet still decided to release it now, but limited only to CDs and digital?

garas
11.26.21
https://sunn.bandcamp.com/album/metta-benevolence-bbc-6music-live-on-the-invitation-of-mary-anne-hobbs

Gnocchi
11.26.21
A few bands have staggered their albums over the course of COVID. Probably wouldn’t ask about vinyl copies though. Huge delays everywhere

Atari
11.26.21
That Spectacular Diagnostics is pretty cool and def seems inspired in part by MF DOOM

Storm In A Teacup
11.26.21
Lmao I’m gonna have to listen to 5 new records a day for the rest of the year to feel like I’ve payed good enough attention to all this art.
