Kind of a tall ask for a definitive list of every single album released this week.

I will most definitely check Oranssi Pazuzu. I should also listen to Abysmal Dawn and Black Dahlia.

I remember when Willie ran this and I used to assume there was a place all these releases would be centrally located. I eagerly volunteered to take it off his hands and that was when I found out how much work it really is, haha. I'm happy to add *major* releases I clearly forgot (like Smith Street Band), but I tend to let the non-household names slide, especially if they're just being shouted at me from the comments section.

I actually already use that site in combination with a few others, but it's still a lot of work deciphering what is a "major" release, then grabbing the artwork, genres, and label info. I have it down to a science at this point that takes 1-2 hours per week, but on a huge release week, it can take even longer. Not complaining for what it's worth; the work is tedious but I enjoy making the end-product look nice and ensuring that it's available on a weekly basis.

well "major release" is pretty subjective anyways so all you can really do is use your best judgement. always gonna miss some big releases that are "major" for their particular niche if it's one you aren't familiar with.

i think you do a pretty good job tho tbh there are usually a few things that i wouldnt have expected to show up

SowingSeason

Thanks. Like you said it's a judgment call re: popularity. Sometimes I have to search the artist in our database and see how many ratings their previous albums have received. Other times, I just like the artwork and include it anyway, lol.

Flying Horseman release has been postponed to June 12 per the band's Facebook and Unday Records' page (unless there's been a more recent update that I missed)

SowingSeason

You're correct. I'll remove it from the list. Thanks!

That Lido Pimienta album is surprisingly sweet. Oransi is absolute madness, Hexvessel is alright. The rest are skippable.
