First really really impressive week of releases - already tried the Cass McCombs and the Jessica Pratt, both are good stuff. The Mercury Rev will be interesting as the original album is great, been getting into that the last few weeks.

Will check Panda Bear, Bob Mould, Xiu Xiu and maybe dip into the LCD Soundsystem rerecording or whatever they are.

Also you've missed Michael Chapman 'True North' which will also be very nice no doubt.

yea wow I haven't listened to Mercury Rev in a minute but the lineup of vocalists on this one is pretty breathtaking

the original album is so good, with so many great songs, I can't imagine with those vocalists and the fact it's the Rev that it could be anything less than at least great

The Mercury Rev has an impressive roster of features: Marissa Nadler, Norah Jones, Phoebe Bridgers, Suzanne Sundfor, Hope Sandoval, Carice Van Houten, Lucinda Williams, etc. Shit is batman crazy.

the Mercury Rev is a tiny bit disappointing but interesting nonetheless

the Cass McCombs album is absolute class
