Featured Release

Tell Me How You Really Feel

Courtney Barnett – Tell Me How You Really Feel
Genre: Alternative/Indie-Rock
Label: Mom+Pop

The Melbourne singer-songwriter/guitarist’s second album, Tell Me How You Really Feel, stands as one of indie-rock’s most anticipated albums of 2018.  2015’s sometimes i sit and think, and sometimes i just sit was released to widespread critical acclaim, garnering praise for its storytelling ability and potent expression despite a relatively straightforward songwriting approach.  Her sophomore effort keeps up the driving rhythms and catchy riffs, resulting in another strong album that may not be as immediate as her debut, but possesses the layers worthy of an album due to grow over time.

Calling this the busiest release day of 2018

SowingSeason
05.16.18
A pretty high volume of releases for sure, but not even close to the longest list I've had to do. When I first took over this weekly news thing I had a 40+ release week that took me several hours to compose. Anyway, for as long as this week is, only a few of these really interest me (Courtney Barnett, Parquet Courts being the front-runners).

Sniff
05.16.18
Ye should add it's probably going to be the most busy week for me personally ^^

Divaman
05.16.18
Not much here that I'm interested in. Will probably check out the new Echo and the the Bunnymen, but with dread. As far as I'm concerned, the write-up is all yours Papa U.

Divaman
05.16.18
Never mind, looks like it's a comp. (Also, is it really out this week -- everything I'm seeing seems to say October.)

TwigTW
05.16.18
Gazpacho!

I think the Echo and the Bunnymen is a mixture of reworked old and new.

Divaman
05.16.18
Think you're right, Twig. American Amazon says May 25 for this one, although the actual page for the album still lists an October date.

Dewinged
05.17.18
Gazpacho may be good. I will check Amorphis too and some other bands I don't know.
