Most any teenage fan would not boast the ability to 'ruin them' for it though. I'm sorry, but as a normal fan, if I happened to be going to the same function as them, I still wouldn't expect to be able to meet them simply by requesting it. Just as if I was in their shoes, I wouldn't meet every fan who requested it. She is no different.

Complaining that you didn't get what you wanted, however, shows that you feel you were robbed of something you deserved. I doubt her "ruin" comment was meant seriously, though; like most girls her age, she's a dumb, goofy slut, and like all dumb, goofy sluts, she has a dumb, goofy sense of humor. Her response sounds more like an overwrought "oh well " than anything else, to me.

Declining to meet her, or any other fan, doesn't make Radiohead dicks - their response to her reaction was very dickish, though. And it doesn't matter if their press manager made the statement instead of themselves; his job is to represent the band's interests, so unless he's fired for the comment, it's safe to say he was conveying their own attitude.
