Things You Can Do
It looks like nobody seems to know/care that this feature exists:
http://www.sputnikmusic.com/upcoming.php
It's the site's upcoming release calendar. I'm not sure if people aren't aware of its existence, or it just doesn't get used because they use Wikipedia and Metacritic, but if you're the sort of person who'd like to contribute to the site but aren't sure how, this would be a good start. The feature is intuitive and easy-to-use, so help out if you'd like.
---
New Contributors
We'll either make these holiday presents or roll them out for 2009. Dave and I haven't decided and the staff has talked minimally about it, so hopefully Dave or I can provide more clear-cut news next week!
---
Bugs
Yes, we are aware of the newer bugs (the 5/5 thing, the album ratings and actual album ratings getting all screwed up, etc.), it's just that there's nothing that Dave or I or any of the moderators or staff writers can do about it at this point. We realize how much it sucks, but patience has to be preached at this point.
---
Until next week, kiddos.
Enjoy your tryptophan-induced comas, Americans.
On behalf of Dave,
Jom

That we will!
I'd like to see someone review the Paramore DVD to see if it's worth picking up.
| | | I'm still reviewing the new BTA even though it probably won't be noticed after Mike's review

Holidayyyyy :D
| | | dichotomy = absolutely incredible.
| | | Why is Adam the one doing The Killers review...??? Seriously, no disrespect to him as a reviewer (as he is excellent), but he has rubbished them so much in the past that his rating & thoughts will be taken with a huge grain of salt by me... Even if he likes it!!!
I'd like to request a staff member (maybe yourself Jom) review the new album from The (International) Noise Conspiracy.

I actually don't hate the Killers, but that new record is pretty terrible. There's bias in every review, I'm sure mine won't be any different. I mean, why does Nick Greer get every Thrice album, as he'll undoubtedly love it no matter how average it is?
| | | true, yet not false.
| | | day and age seems to have polarised opinions a little bit.
i'm just speeding down to hmv to buy prospekt's march now. definitely recommended.
| | | Definitely no offence intended Adam, I just think that you have gone a little out of your way in the past to bash The Killers. For that reason, it surprised me that you would (I presume) go out of your way to review their new album.
Having said that, I don't like their new single, so my opinion on this album could actually agree with yours more than Johns (who has it in his top 10 for the year). I suppose that since you guys have seemingly differing viewpoints, then it will actually be interesting to read both your reviews. So I take back my initial objection.
| | | not making new contributors is getting annoying
| | | Patience is a virtue.
| | | Another stupid bug is sometimes when i upload new profile pictures, it doesn't accept and says that the picture needs to be JPEG or jpg., but the picture is one of those two. Its aggravating, fix it.
