The track is still pre-production so the song sounds a bit raw or cluttered at points but overall its still a great song.

Pretty awesome track. Their debut was phenomenal so I have high hopes for the new album.
| |
Decent, but nothing unique/new..It's gonna sound exactly like Akeldama.
| |
^agreed. but i'm not convinced that's a BAD thing
| |
I could never get into the Faceless, but they are pretty good.
| |
That sounded awesome. The new vocalist sounds almost exactly like Derek Rydquist, that's great. yeah it will probably be the same, but I don't think that's a bad thing. Amon Amarth has made the same album their whole career and are still very well liked, so why can't the Faceless?
| |
When I saw them live with Nile they played this. While their new singer sounds similar here to the one on Akeldama, he is absolutely terribly different live. Anyways, I think this song flows alot better than most of the songs on Akeldama because its breakdown doesn't sound out of place. Even An Autopsy, my favorite song by them, has an extremely unnecessary out of place one and this song at least displays some maturity in that regard. This Message Edited On 06.07.08

Alot of people compared them to Necrophagist before but uhhh, some of those riffs sound like they could've been stolen from Epitaph, for serious.
| |
Bad comparison tbh, bodom. Amon can make the same album 30 times but can write mean songs that are as catchy as can be. This band has rapidly grown off of me however. I'll still might check it out though.
| |
Agreed, Amon Amarth aren't really about technicality, they are just pure, fist-pumping viking anthems. They are crazy fun live too unlike The Faceless (oops I compared them )
| |
okay seriously, just thought id let you guys in on a little secret:
that is seriously one of the worst songs ever written, like, holy shit
| |
the faceless have always had the market cornered on standing on stage looking bored as hell. oh yeah, good song.
| |
Lots of heavy riffing and proggy awesomeness, minus the awesomeness. I thought it was meh, not as good as most off of Akeldama.
| |
theres nothing redeemable about this, like, ive actually burst out laughing every single time ive heard the beginning of this song
| |
nm the singers name is demon carcass hes pretty bad
| |
omg demon carcass bringin teh brutality yo!
| |
I have more faith in the new From A Second Story Window album to completely destroy me. People need to check them out.
| |
When I saw them live with Nile they played this. While their new singer sounds similar here to the one on Akeldama, he is absolutely terribly different live. They used a temp for that whole tour. He is not the guy that is on this song.
Seems that those of us who dig this song and creamed their pants to Akeldema are part of a minority now.
| |
FASSW is good Balls. but I actually liked this it sounds quite unorganized but that could be due to the pre-production value.
| |
This seems a little spastic and random, but that's probably because this is just a preproduction track. There are some killer ideas and riffs going on though, so I dig it. I can't wait for the new album! It's one of my personal most anticipated ones of the year.
| |
lookin at their myspace page, they have some pretty badass shirts.
| |
Yep, this and All Shall Perish's new album are two of the most anticipated metal releases of 08 for me.
| |
Awful. They need to join Dream Theater in attending the school of songwriting. Wanky garbage just doesn't do it for me.
| |
OMFG
| |
The ideas sound good, its not well put together, I still think they can fix this up...hopefully
| |
What happened to Nick and who is recording the drums, anyone know?
Also I find it hilarious that Robots is putting these guys down considering some of the awful bands he gets off too.
| |
Influences: Yo Momma
LOLOLOLZ! Man, they are so gay.
| |
HighandDriving, i saw them live not that long ago and their old drummer (that recorded drums on three tracks on akeldama) was playing with them. he was all bro'd out. Hopefully he stuck around for recording.
| |
Hahaha, that song was awful. It was like if you took the worst of a band like Nile, mixed it with the worst of Necrophagist, then had a bunch of 18 year olds play it.
| |
Man, the solo tone is horrible. I hope the rest of the songs will be better.
| |
Also, Demon Carcass is Derek Rydquist. They got him back.
| |
I have faith for the new album, Akeldama rocked. Im hoping they were just experimenting a little with this song, and since its a preproduction track I doubt the rest of the album would be like this once its done.
| |
i hope the rest of the albums like this, then ill actually buy it for similar reasons to buying "the renaissance" by e. town concrete
| |
I didn't know the singer was a temp. I didn't go to the show to see them. I went for Warbringer and Unexpect, and Unexpect didn't show
| |
Yeah, seriously. I Am THE (GAY) ROBOTS really has no room to talk with the massive amount of terrible bands he listens to.
| |
This song is absolutely awful so he has every right to point it out. And Mappy > You.
| |
i agree that this song isn't as good as it could be but it's also pre-production. but i like the ideas they have. i enjoyed it. but i also agree that Mappy > most everyone.
| |
So what if it's pre-production? That means it'll be mastered, it doesn't mean the song's going to be re-written. And nothing short of a near total re-write could save this song.
| |
Even for pre-production this is still really awful. That song sounded like me doing a Necrophagist copycat jam session.
| |
Song was enjoyable.
| |
 you would enjoy this
Yeah, seriously. I Am THE (GAY) ROBOTS really has no room to talk with the massive amount of terrible bands he listens to.

song sounds all over the place
| |
My dad can play this song.
| |
I can't say I'm digging this new stuff. It sounds pretentious and contrived ::ahem:: Dream Theater, anyone? (I don't even like Dream Theater, but can't help but instantly think of them when the track starts).
Not too impressed, hopefully they'll pull their heads out of their prog-metal asses and write stuff they're actually good at. This song has absolutely zero flow, and basically sounds like musical wanking for the sake of wanking.
