Super fun, dig the new look and direction, bring on the new album

Liking this one more than 'Satanized', guitars are great and the 70s/80s horror movie vibe is a lot of fun.
| |
wow these guys are extra evil now wow
| |
Absolute snoozer
| |
really like this one, much better than 'satanized'
| |
Better than satanized for sure. That song was a snooze.
| |
kiss for gamers
| |
The guitar in this song sounds like it was recorded in a garage. Song doesn’t really work for me and reeks of band trying to sound heavy again.
| |
The mix is definitely a little too bright at times - especially on the chorus.
The low end really needed some extra weight, if you compare this mix with 'Cirice' it's night and day.
| |
Better than Sanitized yes, but still a far cry from what this band used to be. We'll see.
| |
Opus Eponymous is still the only album that really does it for me. Don’t think this is gonna change that opinion.
| |
I already really enjoyed Satanized, love this one way more though. Those harmonies in the chorus are such a treat to the ears
| |
I miss when Tobias would write songs with the old band members rather than the external songwriters he works with now, God I miss that Meliora era
| |
Idk… I liked Satanized quite a bit but this is fucking amazing. I don’t think anything will ever dethrone Meliora for me but if there’s another three or four songs this good it’ll come damn close.
| |
Better than Satanized, catchier with a pretty decent main riff. I'm still not a fan of the production though; the guitar tone sounds very flimsy.
| |
This is probably the closest they've gotten to Opus minus the synthetic. Really good return to their Gothic roots here.
| |
The leads going in and out of that last chorus are so fucking good. Yeah… Satanized was fine but this is that good shit.
| |
Kind of agree with the production sounding flimsy. This is gonna sound absolutely massive live tho, and I’m really thinking about selling my tickets and getting better seats
| |
Tobias has said this is going to be an introspective album so I would expect to see songs from every era pf their discography.
| |
More immediate than Satanized, cool song but yeah the guitar is missing some chunk
| |
Band is lame
| |
No u
| |
"Tobias has said this is going to be an introspective album so I would expect to see songs from every era pf their discography."
I guess we were due for the "this album represents all our previous albums" record anyway.
| |
It was bound to happen yea
| |
Honestly I have tried getting into this band for years but it just hasn’t clicked for me.
| |
Let the riffs and righteous melodies flow through you
| |
This band has riffs?
| |
Listen to Absolution and really try to tell me this band doesn’t have riffs.
| |
rivvs of trvth
| |
Tobias should just reunite Repugnant again and bring back the riffs of trvth
| |
Repugnant to Ghost truly is the most insane artistic progression
| |
Entertaining track, but I'm still not sold on this band.
| |
Lol it really is a complete 180 turn
| |
new song 'peacefield' legit sounds like an alice cooper song
| |
It does, I’m so keen for the new album, should be a blast
