No. If people like my music I'm more than glad to give them a free copy. I know many people in bands who don't care. Its music for everyone to listen to and sing along to at shows.

Ironically, the music industry is finally starting to see that even with this kind of successful raids, they're still way behind on the game. Radiohead's latest release plays a major part in this, as well as extremely disappointing results for paid downloads.
I just read in a magazine a few days ago that the Dutch branch of Universal is negotiating intensively with the Netherlands' leading concert organization Mojo. The article went on to say that basically all record companies are at a point where they have to make drastic changes in order to stay in business.
Hopefully, this means that they will focus on making CDs more appealing than a folder of mp3s, even if they do cost money.

The labels employ low-level workers who happen to be music fans and can't wait to share a band's new album with their friends. If the album manages to not leak directly from the label, it is guaranteed to leak once it heads off to manufacturing.
