One Step Closer blur memories

Pennsylvania-based Straight Edge Melodic Hardcore band One Step Closer have released a new single and visualiser ahead of their new album All You Embrace, released this Friday (May 17th) via Run For Cover Records.

Titled “Blur My Memory”, the track is the third single from their forthcoming sophomore album following two prior singles “Leap Years” and “Orange Leaf”.

Funnily enough, I wrote off this band based on the name thinking they were a Nu Metal band. Thankfully they’re much more rooted in Hardcore (first album is more akin to something like Have Heart) and I’ve gotten quite into them over the past month or so.

These guys were more interesting when they were basically an American nightmare cover band imo. all these hardcore bands trying to get more accessible to get turnstile success and it waters them down

I kind of agree, I think Songs for the Willow EP hit the sweet spot in their sound and this feels like a more watered down version of it but I’m hyped nonetheless
