2023-08-20 by Mitch Worden EMERITUS | 20 Comments
Gothic progressive metal project In the Silence have recently revealed information on an upcoming album release. Currently under the working title Once Dead Now Shines, the record would be the follow-up to the group's debut, A Fair Dream Gone Mad, and their first LP in over a decade. The band revealed cover art for the album and a tracklist, but there is currently no release date, with final touches and mixing pending.

From the group's FB page:

"Great news, received the final drum track! It's down to the final guitar and bass tracks, a few vocal takes and then scheduling mixing!
Here is the track list as of now:
1. Solaria
2. Darkest Hours
3. What have I?
4. Patterns in the Moonlight
5. Bullets Lack Empathy
6. Tendencies Divine
7. Darkest Hours II
8. In the Fog too Long
9. Silver Sky
10. A Song for Winter
And the album title:
Once Dead Now Shines
This is subject to small changes of course : )"

I don't know if this will be happening this year but hopefully we will finally get a true follow up

As for Night Verses, I thought I saw an article up, but I'll try to address it if not.

Love their debut, listen to it every now and then and it's always great.

@Emim
It's more like Anathema meets Katatonia meets Opeth, without harsh vocals though.

"Katatonia's music is not meant to be catchy"

"Gothic progressive metal project"

Like modern Katatonia, the latest King Crow release, Klone... not Evanescence ;)
