Christine McVie dead at 79 2022-11-30 by Jom STAFF | 28 Comments | Christine McVie, Fleetwood Mac's longtime co-lead vocalist, keyboardist, and songwriter, died November 30th following a short illness.
In a Twitter post, the band remarked, "There are no words to describe our sadness at the passing of Christine McVie. She was truly one-of-a-kind, special and talented beyond measure. She was the best musician anyone could have in their band and the best friend anyone could have in their life. We were so lucky to have a life with her. Individually and together, we cherished Christine deeply and are thankful for the amazing memories we have. She will be so very missed."

Joining the group in 1970, McVie wrote several iconic Rumours songs, including "Don't Stop", "Songbird", and "You Make Loving Fun". Other songwriting credits include co-writing "Little Lies" (with then-husband Eddy Quintela) and writing "Everywhere" (from Tango in the Night), not to mention her work with Chicken Shack, alongside Andy Silvester and Stan Webb, in the late '60s.
McVie was 79.
