The weakes one so far.

nah, amazing song
| |
love it!
| |
This is my first time hearing a Deafheaven track. I take it this is pretty different stylistically to what they're known for? I don't mind this either. Just not at all what I was expecting especially considering how divisive they seem to be
| |
I haven't really bothered with 'cleans' deafheaven until this or the gnashing, but I'm kinda liking them both on first listen. There's something there that makes me wanna listen again.
| |
This was pretty boring
| |
Best of the 3 new songs, love the attention to detail on the atmosphere
| |
I like all songs released so far, but I'm starting to miss the screams. The music is good, but the vocals just dont really do it for me
| |
Pretty good. Predictably b/c it's deafheaven this release will be controversial af despite the fact i'm assuming the record will be a very non-offensive, standard, 3-3.5 shoegaze record.
| |
By each single, it gets just worse and worse... at this point, I'd be surprised if it'd be any better than Ordinary Boring Human Snoozefest was.
| |
Liked all three singles a lot. I haven't really got into Deafheaven until this new record, which is perhaps why I'm digging it so much.
I'm all for this change up of their sound.
| |
Weakest single so far.
I was a lot more open to them transitioning to this sound initially - but this is so tame and downright boring at some moments.

"i'm assuming the record will be a very non-offensive, standard, 3-3.5 shoegaze record"
Most likely
| |
Why does George look so weird in this video? Like in every shot he looks like a whole different person lol.
Lovely song, been stuck in my head all day. This is far from boring, way better than The Gnashing. Also, dat bass tone is mmmmmm
| |
wah wah wah wah wah
| |
waluigi in da house

I'm all down for the change in sound but this is just weak and boring and I hated the vox on this one.
| |
so the chorus is limousine by brand new, got it
| |
Wow this might be the first album in their entire discog that might end up over a 3
| |
*shrug still here for the Davey Havok vocals
| |
There’s only so much shrieking I can take at a time, so I’m very much happy with this direction lol
| |
getting more excited every single is better than the last.
lol i been sayin this dude tryna sound like AFI
| |
Song sounds like something you'd hear in some hip clothing store at the mall.
| |
From Starbucks metal with Sunbather to Abercrombie & Finch post-punk with Infinite Granite, Deafheaven sure knows how to navigate a mall.
| |
I remember all these 3 singles more than I do the whole of OCHL, if that alone is not an improvement idk what you all want from them, and musically this is song is pretty cool, don't dig this as much as the other ones vocally tho.

Should make this a soundoff
| |
They call it deafheaven because you have to be deaf to be in heaven listening to them LMFAO!!!
| |
😐.
| |
great track, i really like the direction they're going
but why does George's close ups sometimes look like he has to take a huge dump but the line to the restroom is extremely long lol i guess this is his black metal face but it kinda ruins the video for me
anyway really looking forward to the record
| |
oh and when I first saw the video's thumbnail i thought it was the dude from Scooter
| |
fuck i love this
| |
So I guess I can finally enjoy Deafheaven. All singles have been quite great.
| |
hah, gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa(z)e
| |
are we at the new wave part of their creative curve now
i cant keep up
| |
hm not too shabby on second listen, i quite like the atmosphere
| |
i can't stop listening to this
i'm 100% down with this direction, all three songs have been excellent
| |
based
