I always worry with posthumous releases but honestly that song is the most Bodom thing I’ve heard for years and it looks like Bodom After Midnight will be a fitting tribute to a great musician.

rip
| |
What a sick single, sounds like the Bodom of old
| |
I hope they bring a replacement and continue the band. I'd like to.
| |
Solid track
RIP
| |
hell yeah brother
| |
A lot better than I was expecting
| |
Yeah that was pretty great. Pretty excited to hear the dissection cover too
| |
Whether they continue with or without Alexi, this is a great single and I'm sure the EP will be a suitable swansong.
| |
I am happy to see Alexi was able to go out with an absolute banger of a song.
| |
This song totally rips, he had so much more to give. It hurts knowing we won't experience any new full LP's from these guys.
| |
Fun track. So sad we won't get to hear future material like this from Alexi.
| |
Children of Bodom After Midnight
| |
holy shit dissection cover? i like the EP title, one of the better metal album titles I've heard in a while.
| |
this is pretty cool
| |
that was nice
| |
such nostalgia
| |
best bodom in over a decade tbh
| |
Platitudes And Barren Words off of Hex'd was fantastic.
| |
Hexed has some great tracks
| |
Sounds like it would have fitted seamlessly on Halo of Blood. One of the best Alexi solos we've heard in a long while too.
| |
I will seriously miss this man gracing us with his unique playing ability and great songwriting. The form really did come back in the last few albums, with Halo of Blood and Hexed especially. Now this single which is a continuation of the fantastic sound. He left us too soon but didn't go out without dropping some final bangers. RIP Alexi.
| |
this fucking destroys
| |
This was just okay for me, I could definitely feel the old-school Bodom vibes but it still wasn't great. The video just makes me sad, you can see how worn Alexi looks and that just bums me out.
| |
Interesting, I was happy to see one last banger with the Wild Child doing what he loved most in life. Made my day to be honest, but i guess it's always a matter of perspective
| |
I'm happy he was doing what he loved until the end, it's just a little sad to see how gaunt and tired he looks in this video.
| |
Great song, now I'm extra sad that we didn't get a full album of this. And poor Alexi looks ghastly in that video.
| |
RIP. Good tune, sad to see the state of him, looked worn out in that, but it still hit all the right notes like old school bodom. Doubt they'd continue without him, but if they did the band name is a fitting one for doing so.
