The obscure 90s vibe of the vid doesn't really synch with the super pristine and tropey metalcore underneath. Would be better suited to a gross metal or noise rock project. These guys are awesome players though, saw em live once. Don't really like their music.

honestly, i used to jam drift a lot. i like the opener and a couple tracks on neon, but agreed, my interest decreases with every song i hear JT being not garrison on lol

Moment hit it on the head. I am new to Erra and not huge into this style of music, but I was really into the whole AA OM&M sound years ago, so this is striking a chord there for me.

Those two bands were some of the best in their class too. Same goes for Erra.

His vocals sound better on here for sure but the last album I listened to, Drift, he wasn't a step down. He was awful and basically ruined the album (imo). Never did listen to Neon, not sure if better.

honestly, i enjoy drift. it felt close enough to the Erra I loved on the MOC EP and Augment, just newer. especially the first couple tracks including Skyline where they tried to mix it up.

Aside from the opener, Neon really felt like a hot mess and i havent listened since

these new songs are better for sure, but its not the same meaty erra i used to love, its more proggy with honestly less inspiring/positively spiritual lyrics
