ehh not bad, just really forgettable. nothing that makes me wanna jam this over their first three outings
|
| |
Pleeeease be good
|
| |
OH SICK IM GONNA JAM THIS ON MY LUNCH
|
| |
It was alright
|
| |
"Mother's Sons"
lmao
|
| |
Their drummer is so good tho, gotta give props where it’s due
|
| |
Link no work baby
|
| |
I know baby I'm just letting my man Kurai know
Song is aight
|
| |
I'm actually really digging this. Please be better than the last two LPs.
Here's to hoping they finally come up with a new lyrical concept for this record though. That same old story line keeps getting more and more convoluted and is worse for it imo. Give us a new story bruv.
|
| |
"Jay Moss" Hm.
|
| |
"Jay Moss" lol
it's Jay Maas
|
| |
Song itself is a fun listen, probably their best song since 'Bastards' from Letters Home (one of the few highlights of that album).
I agree with the storyline thing, that narrative from their first four albums was getting ridiculous. You could tell they were scraping the bottom of the barrel when they told a whole album's story from the point of view of the priest from Cowardice. Probably won't pre order this album in case the whole thing ends up being mediocre.
|
| |
how do the vocals actually sound worse?
|
| |
its not on par with their better albums. theyre probably saving the best stuff for the full release.
|
| |
idk, this song was pretty fucking fun for me
|
| |
Stilll VERY hype.
|
| |
wait is this all part of that same storyline or no?
|
| |
I remember when I used to worship this band. I loved everything through up to Empty Days. Then Letters Home felt like a retread, and Abandoned was almost the same thing again entirely. I'm glad they're still putting out music but something tells me they've lost their spark. I would absolutely love for them to prove me wrong though.
|
| |
Fucking Will Yip ugh
|
| |
Their drummer fucking rawks.
|
| |
He's an animal. I'll bet he one takes a lot of his studio recordings.
|
| |
Never read so many comments about a drummer. Love it though, he deserves it 100%. Just listen to December 1943. Insane.
Will Yip is great at getting a good drum sound. He's even better at getting bass tones. Distorted guitars? Nope. Not at all.
But you can not tell me that no one listened to this song and thought that the vocals are way too quiet. Who mixed/mastered this?
|
| |
Will Yip, he never fails to deliver buried vocals and shitty guitar tones.
|
| |
new defeater, aubergine itt, what is this 2011
|
| |
Song ruuuuuules consider me hyped. I really hope this blows Abandoned out of the water.
|
| |
Hey keyblade I just finished KH3 yesterday
|
| |
^ I platinumed it last week dude. Fuck that Synthesizer trophy lmao.
|
| |
Song was actually pretty decent
|
| |
yeah i guess vox would be better if they were mixed louder. guitar too..
|
| |
Song is quite good. Wish the mix was more balanced.
|
| |
same old same old
|
| |
song is decent, vocals way too low in the mix. can anyone make out the lyrics? Is it the same storyline?
|
| |
"how do the vocals actually sound worse? "
Other than sounding a little low, they sound like the same old Defeater to me, might want to check your ears.
|
| |
yeah his vox sound exactly the same, just buried
|
| |
Yeah, all you need is first album and ep from this band. Nothing after that even touches it.
|
| |
@jayender: nice, I’m just doing the battle gates now. And the constellations but the Gummi ship is kind of a pain in the ass.
|
| |
wrong, ED&SN is also fantastic
|
| |
More like boring and bland.
|
| |
wrong, ED&SN is also fantastic
[2]. In fact, I kind of prefer it to Travels. Waves Crash, Clouds Roll is probably my favourite song of theirs.
|
| |
@Kurai: Might just agree with you there. Waves Crash, Clouds Roll fucking slaps
|
| |
Empty Days is half trash and half good. That was the beginning of this band slipping into mediocrity
|
| |
"half trash and half good"
wrong
|
| |
correct*
FTFY
|
| |
thank you
|
| |
Anything for my buttboy
|
| |
song is decent, vocals way too low in the mix. can anyone make out the lyrics? Is it the same storyline?
yeah, that is highly likely, seems like it's gonna be father's brother perspective. I agree that they should drop all this concept, it's getting ridiculous.
the sonf is nice, but i wish they would've evolved a little bit
|
| |
Next album is from the point of view of the family's dog.
"I was a good boy once but all the years of unanswered barking have left me goodboyless."
Hyped.
|
| |
empty days is slightly worse than what came before, but it's pretty much on the same level for me.
has many of my favorite tracks by them
