This sounds like every other song they've made since Come Clarity.
| |
definitely the most meh song they've released so far
| |
@Toon: (This Is Our) House called.
This is still better than the majority of Battles, and as a defender of that album yeah I can admit it's a little too softie.
| |
he's trying to outrun the shitty music
| |
I, Won't Listen
| |
Geniuenly thought this was gonna be one of the worst albums ever made but at least they proved me wrong on that point. With a proper vocalist this could have been somewhat decent.
| |
"@Toon: (This Is Our) House called."
That song was straight up terrible, this one is just straight up meh
| |
I like how the video resets occasionally, like he was getting winded and they had to cut it
| |
The chorus is catchy
| |
I love that they’re branded as an alternative metal band these days.
My friend turned on apple musics metal playlist and one of the singles from this album was on it. I was fucking shocked that I enjoyed an In Flames song released after 2010.
The chorus is gross but the song is decent apart from that. 2.5/3 out of 5, probably will end up being their best album since Come Clarity, but that isn’t saying a whole lot
| |
Seriously what happened to this band
| |
This isn't bad other than the chorus
| |
FFDP Apologists
| |
FFDP?
| |
Oh nevermind
| |
i can see this album getting decent
guitars on this track are lit
| |
In Flames, like the band's reputation.
| |
Anders will never be able to do any of these new songs live, unless Howard Benson has mics that autotune you in real time, which he probably does.
| |
This band's run out of ideas
| |
Anders is such a shitty singer, he should just stick to screaming
| |
Anders Frauden huehuehue
| |
how can you guys manage to throw the same boring bullshit at this band year after year and still look at yourself in the mirror and think "yeah, im contributing"
| |
This changed my life
| |
this sounds like an ASOP filler
and at this historical moment, that's the closest thing to a compliment they can achieve
| |
"Anders is such a shitty singer" who's a good singer to you?
| |
Anders really isnt that bad. There is just way too much layering and polishing going on in their studio
| |
The layering and polishing is necessary. Without it Anders' cleans are a weak, warbling mess. See Playground and Siren Charms for proof.
| |
One of those bands where after a while you can't help but wonder if they were only ever great by accident
| |
you do know they swapped tons of members right?
| |
They still had 4/5 of their Colony lineup all the way through Siren Charms.
| |
"were only ever great by accident"
they also made stuff before colony
| |
"The layering and polishing is necessary. Without it Anders' cleans are a weak, warbling mess. See Playground and Siren Charms for proof."
Maybe to some degree but I think there's a happy medium to be reached. His cleans sound fine on CC because there's a little layering but not so much that you have some big artificial sounding wall of whiny-ness
| |
I, Won't Listen [2]
| |
Laughably uninspired.
| |
” ”Anders is such a shitty singer" who's a good singer to you? ”
Anyone who can sound good without that much autotune
| |
uhhh have you even listened to their first, like, seven albums?
| |
Probably the best single from this upcoming album.
But that doesn't make it good.
| |
Nah the t/t is definitely the best single so far
| |
agreed
| |
Voices is the best song so far but it wasnt officially released
| |
pirate
CAW CAW CAW
| |
Naw Anders is my best friend. He showed me the song
| |
This is the first one that doesn't sound like a metal song written by the camouflaged pop band that In Flames have been on the last two albums.
To me at least.
| |
Idk that chorus might be the poppiest of all the singles so far
| |
Yeah i was gonna say, did you even hear the chorus?...
| |
"uhhh have you even listened to their first, like, seven albums?"
Even with those albums his cleans are very layered and processed. Never thought id see someone defend Anders as a good vocalist.
| |
Idk I liked his cleans on colony and clayman. They sound pretty layered on clayman but not as much on colony. I think his harsh vocals used to be really good from TJR through clayman. They started going downhill after that and I think he's probably just blown his voice out at this point like akerfeldt
