there is literally nothing that distinguishes this from the satanist

Dang nature you scary
| |
"there is literally nothing that distinguishes this from the satanist" agreed. There's not much substance to this one, unfortunately.
| |
lazy track
| |
So this is the satanic counter to As Cities Burn eh
| |
polish goodness
| |
I'm afraid Nergal might be creatively stagnant...hope I'm wrong
| |
So...y'all are upset that they're doing more material in the sound of their most praised album?
| |
i'm upset because they didn't spend more than 15 minutes to make this track
| |
dont be dum dude
| |
fast blackened death i'll take it, don't care if it's generic. with crappy album title and meh first single, i just want a decent album.
| |
Still sounds pretty solid. I wouldn't hate more tracks that sound like The Satanist cause that album fuckin rulz
| |
It's not bad, it's not great, it's like run of the mill newer Behemoth which is fine. God = Dog was a more interesting track. I'm very much looking forward to ILYAYD, but time will tell if this record actually redefines Behemoth as Nergal has stated in recent interviews.
| |
looks like this is going to be a canine-themed album
| |
heh
| |
yeah, Behemoth went a slightly more typical blackened death metal route. I don't personally mind, just expected a bit more variety and creativity from them at this point.
| |
Why does Nergal keep saying the album title is a quote from Jesus?
| |
cause Jesus made everything happen, so all that is and ever was and ever will be is of his authorship. amen, brother.
| |
Cause he doesn't know half as much about Christianity as he pretends to.. it's all for show.
Track sounds good but behemoth seems to become one of those bands that release the same album every couple of years.
| |
I'm just confused because he is well versed in the bible, so I'm not getting why he's sticking to that claim. Also Behemoth is a band that's been recycling the same album for many years, it's only with The Satanist that they've attempted to deviate from their mind-numbing brand of blackened death metal so I'm glad they're changing their tune a bit.
| |
"Track sounds good but behemoth seems to become one of those bands that release the same album every couple of years."
Track doesn't sound good, the mix is atrocious, and Behemoth has only released 2 albums this decade, so agree to disagree. This is also the first batch of Behemoth tracks that feels like a b-sides of a previous release in a very long time. Most of their records this millenia had a distinct sound and identity. I don't wanna get ahead of myself with presumptions, but at a certain point most bands start releasing albums as an excuse to tour (which is where the real money is for most metal bands these days).
| |
this is just more of the Satanist, not necessarily a bad thing
| |
"i'm upset because they didn't spend more than 15 minutes to make this track"
guess you have never written songs then
| |
disagree with the "this song is satanist pt. 2" commentary, this is more black metal oriented than the songs on that album. good track.
| |
it really isn't. there are several tracks on the satanist that sound practically identical to this one.
| |
those chord progressions at 2:00 are really similar to a track from Demigod, too.
| |
Gonna rule as always.
| |
m/ m/
That part after 2:40 was cool
| |
Someone send me the time stamp for the tits please
| |
Most of their albums are solid, but part of why Satanist was so highly praised because it was the first time in ages that they actually tried something new. Now I think people are afraid that we're gonna get Satanist over and over again.
Anyways, song was good, but didn't seem like anything special. I'm sure I'll appreciate it more as I listen to it more though.
| |
Maybe stick with your Alkaline Trio album that's on the charts currently if you think this is bad.
| |
This isnt satanist 2. Stop crying.
