Thought this would be way worse
| |
not that bad honestly, at least it's better than just about anything off of the turd that was their last album
| |
Meh...
| |
band hasn't been good since......... since... um.. well.....
hm.
| |
Excellente metal musique
| |
this week:
- godsmack
- three days grace
- shinedown
lmao
| |
This is actually pretty good. A concept album from Shinedown sounds interesting.
But 14 songs? Really? Hope a couple of those are interludes.
| |
Last album set a super low bar for anything to come after, but I'm surprised by how much I like this.
| |
Using four basic chords as your chorus is one way to show you've got absolutely nothing to say.
| |
^because more chords = better, right?
so if they used 8 chords, it would be 2x better?
| |
I’m actually impressed, who would have ever though shinedown could make music anymore xD
| |
didnt they just release an album
| |
That was 3 years ago friend
| |
They pleasantly surprised me at Uproar a while back. Might give this a run.
| |
This is okay. Would like to be able to enjoy some new material from them. The Sound of Madness is still a good listen.
| |
Shinedown has the track record of being "good enough." Their previous album was a disaster, but hopefully a concept album does more good for the group.
| |
@Kalo Certainly not in general. This band, just as 3dg and many other bands labelled as "modern american rock" get just enough medial recognizion to have them making the money they do rn. Songs just uninspired and uncreative riffing with a purpose of filling space. Atleast in my book. That being said, to each their own. Personally i think it's a funny moment when they need to say: "It's about to get heavy" :D
| |
Good stuff, hopefully this album is better than the last one. I remember that Cut the Cord was the first single from that and that track is still solid, so hopefully this isn't the same type of thing.
| |
i dont listen to music without complex d-minor tuning polyrhythms
| |
I can dig this. Fingers crossed that this record has more focus than their last disaster.
| |
Pretty good song, especially for them. Digging the riffs
| |
bad band
| |
Honestly I really like the vocals here. Never really listened to this band but I think I really would've enjoyed these guys a few years back
| |
Sound of Madness is pretty good for your typical mainstream rock album
| |
it's their "best" but it's still average af
| |
Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom) is a awesome jam though
| |
yeah great deftones album agreed
| |
Oh great, another Shinedown song for the radio stations to use as an instrument of torture.
I already can't take it.
| |
Idk if simply doing a concept album is gonna help these guys. But hey, at least it's got me interested.
| |
yo why he look like yolked seth green
| |
pretty decent radio rocker
| |
This is actually solid
| |
not that bad at all. really enjoying the riff and vocals are decent as well. but the 14 songs feel like a recipe for disaster... hope I'm wrong though! would like to see the band bounce back from their latest offering.
| |
I think the average album need 8 to 10 songs. Especially in Shinedown's case, they're asking for a lot.
| |
I legit have a bit of nolstalgia for their first two albums. They have some gems.
| |
This is pretty alright. I really wish they'd go back to their Southern roots and record an updated Us And Them.
| |
I saw them opening for Iron Maiden last year in Dublin. They're pretty good live, though I can't say I really care for them post 'Sound of Madness' (which was a great album).
| |
I'm getting worried about this album. So far the 2 tracks are really solid. They'll never be up to par with their first 3 albums but they still got it.
