14 songs are too much for Priest in 2018 imo but song bangs anyway

Pretty good/10
| |
halford is my dad
| |
Decent
| |
Song is pretty solid but I'm worried about the length of the album. These guys have been releasing overlong albums for 20 years now with the exception of Angel of Retribution maybe.
| |
pretty good track yeh
nothing spectacular but tidy and doesn't drag at all. solos are good as well
| |
Song's solid (3/3.5). Rob remains a great singer.
@manosg
Cheers man, I think the song is called Lightning Strike, it's not the title track.
| |
sounds like primal fear
| |
Thanks Notrap! Working and writing for Sput at the same time, I'm glad that I didn't make an even worse mistake haha.

| |
perfect album length is like 50-60 min
| |
40 mins is the magic amount
| |
sounds like primal fear [2]
...and that is not exactly a compliment.
The bridge is cringeworthy German Power Metal-like.
Not completely horrible thou and Rob still has it.
| |
"halford is my dad"
*one of my dads
But seriously though, pretty solid song. I agree the album needs to be cut short.
| |
His voice sounds fantastic. Amazing longevity. Him and Bruce Dickinson really kept their voices well.
| |
song's okay. good feel, lame chorus, overall it neither stoked my enthusiasm nor dulled it. Halford can still sing but they gotta give Travis something more interesting to do than play two fills a song.
| |
Pretty good. Halford sounds a bit better than in Redeemer of Souls.
| |
Sounds more promising than I'd ever expect a band as aged as Priest to be for their 18th album. Even from an objective standpoint it's pretty solid (great guitar/vocal combo). I'm interested.
| |
Song is really nice. Way better than anything off the last album save Halls of Vahalla. They sound like they have energy again, and they don't really need Halford's high pitched wails to pull that off (although they are not unwelcome).
| |
Serviceable
| |
Sounds like classic Priest, which is never a bad thing.
| |
it's so BA-da-da-BA-da-da, BA-da-da-BA-da-da, BA-da-da-BA-da-da, BA-da-da-BA-da-da
literally no rhythmic variation the whole song
| |
Oh man reminds me Sentilen someway. Like this one and waiting for moar
| |
The song is neither good or bad
| |
Also, that video is so obviously parsed together from unrelated songs that it made me laugh.
| |
Did he really say "with a power that's freaking inteeeeeeense!" at 1:15?
God I hope so
| |
Sounds like proper old school Priest. This ought to be promising.
| |
Prob gonna be their best since Angel
| |
this is pretty sweet, looking forward to the album
| |
lmfao @Gmork I love him so much
| |
wow these guys are still music and it isn't even completely godawful. Some bands should learn from Priest
| |
This sounds like Primal Fear?
You mean Primal Fear sound like Priest and always have done lol
| |
it's not like Primal Fear were formed by the guy who finished second to Ripper for the Priest frontman job or anything
| |
It sounds a bit more like a power metal band such as Gamma Ray than what I expect from Priest, but I dig it.
| |
Aw man a new JudASS Priest song!
| |
Catchy track.
| |
Sounds like thousands of other songs that have already been written, but still a fun jam m/
| |
Really fun song.
Halford’s still got it m/
| |
yeah what everyone else said
| |
"sounds a bit more like a power metal band such as Gamma Ray"
Gamma Ray would have written a better chorus though
| |
Very decent and enjoyable
| |
awful and corny, always have been
| |
fuk off
| |
dat chorus tho
