Idk why you guys hate on them so much. They were one of the first bands that got me into heavier music but as far as mainstream metal bands go, you could do so much worse.

I don't think the vocals were nearly the worse part, they were competent enough. If they had kept it mellow it would have probably been fine, but all of the drums and the mix and everything didn't work in the slightest.

I never had anything against A7X, mostly because I never listened to anything they ever put out because the circlejerk hate is way too embarassing for me to have to talk people like that, but this is pretty damn awful indeed. these melody-lines need a way more restrained singing than...this.

I agree that it's the mixing that makes this particularly awful.

Retrovertigo is one of my favorite songs off California, and I don't think this is as bad as everyone as saying. That being said, of course the original shits all over this.

Thread is dumb. Band has had a few clunker albums but The Stage was great and a lot of really well-respected bands have also put out some absolute shit, so really it's silly to hate

It's a good cover of a great song. The intro is a bit awkward, but otherwise I don't see the big deal.

Dig both of the covers so far, even if this one in particular has provoked a lot of ire because Patton is 'untouchable'.
Fair play to them for having a go at it and trying something a little different, particularly after the strength of The Stage. I'd much rather this Avenged than HttK Avenged any fucking day.
