Boston Drummer Dies

2017-03-25 by Divaman | 33 Comments
On March 22, 2017, Sib Hashian, the former drummer of 1970s rock icons Boston, died in the middle of a set while playing on a Legends of Rock cruise. Attempts to save his life with CPR and a defibrillator were unsuccessful. Hashian, 67, was the drummer for Boston's two most successful albums, Boston (1976) and Don't Look Back (1978).

I've never heard a bad song from these guys.
RIP. At least he died surrounded by his family and all of his fans and friends at the show.

Banging on the cans having fun, then feeling your body collapse under you in front of your fans. Dying "doing what you love" is no less terrifying so idk the idea is so romanticized. Best to go in your sleep when you'll never notice.

Have been jamming to their self-titled the past few weeks and I literally was showing mine of my hip-hop friends the album today and specifically pointed out how awesome the drumming was. Bizarre.

RIP.

Tbh dying mid set sounds horrifying for me and everybody involved. Would way rather pass in my sleep.
